Do I need a Visa?
You need a visa for short-term stay (for up to 90 days in any 180 days period) if you fall into one of the categories listed here. If the country of your nationality is not listed in the mentioned list, you can travel to Germany without a visa for up to 90 days within a period of 180 days, provided that your stay is non-profitable.

Please note that Peruvian, Georgian (biometric passport holders) and Ukranian (biometric passport holders) Nationals do not require a prior Schengen Visa for a period of up to 90 days.

What should I do after submitting the Visa?
You may track your application on our website or or call our contact centre on +974 44231162 to check your application status. It is advisable to check the application status only after the average processing time mentioned in this website.

What will happen if I am called for an interview?
The Visa Application Centre will contact you to schedule the interview; an interview letter will be issued. On the day of the interview you need to visit the German Embassy along with the interview letter

In case of Schengen Visa, where will my interview be held?
At the German Embassy Doha , The interview letter will have to be presented.

Where can I submit my application?
You can submit your Visa application at German Visa Application centre in Qatar through prior appointment.

What do I need to carry for the interview?
Interview letter, original documents, which you did not submit at the time of application, and any additional documents requested by the Consulate General of Germany.

What will happen after the interview?
You can track the status of your application on track your application on our website or our Contact Centre +974 44231162. It is advisable to check the status after the average processing time mentioned in this website.

If the application is processed:

  • Courier Case: your passport will be delivered at the address provided by you by courier. You need to hand over the photocopy of the QID or data page of your passport to the courier person to get the delivery.
  • Non-Courier Case: you will be able to collect your passport from the Visa Application Centre where you submitted your application, between 09:00 to 17:00 by presenting the original receipt and original Qatar ID card. Representatives will need to present the original receipt along with an authorization letter from the passport holder and original Qatar ID card.

If the visa is refused

Your passport and refusal letter will be handed over to you at the Visa Application Centre where you applied.For further information you may click the link.
