Visit the VAC

Visit the VAC to enroll your biometrics and submit any documents

Check your application status

Stay informed about the progress of your application

Wait for your passport request letter

IRCC will send you a letter requesting your passport and any other additional documents

Submit your passport and any other documents through the VAC

If you haven’t already submitted your passport, you can use the VAC to send it to IRCC

Collect your passport and application decision

Get your documents back from the VAC

Here's what you'll need

For a Canadian temporary resident visa, you generally need the following:

A valid travel document, like a passport
Proof of financial means to support your stay in Canada
Travel itinerary, including hotel bookings and flight reservations
Proof of ties to your home country, such as employment, family or property ownership
Any other additional information based on your specific situation
