Short Term Visa
Short-term visa (Schengen Visa) is a visa which permits its holder to stay in the Schengen Area for a maximum stay of 90 days per 180 days. If you wish to reside in the Czech Republic for an extended period of time (more than 90 days), you need to apply for a long term visa directly at the Embassy of the Czech Republic.
Only citizens of Thailand, Cambodia, Myanmar and Laos and legal residents in these countries can request a Schengen visa at the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Bangkok. In the latter case, the proof of long stay visa, work permit and re-entry visa will be required.
You can apply for Schengen visa at the Embassy of the Czech Republic through the VFS Global Visa Application Centre in Bangkok if the Czech Republic is your main destination of the visit in terms of the length of stay, counted in days, or the purpose of stay. If you plan to visit several countries in the Schengen area for the same period for each country with the same purpose of stay, you can apply for the Schengen visa at the Embassy of the Czech Republic if the Czech Republic is the first Schengen state to enter.
Applications shall be lodged no more than six months before the start of the intended visit and no later than 15 calendar days before the start of the intended visit. Exemptions can be made only for justified reasons.
Visa application form has to be completed for all the applicants including minors electronically on your computer or in writing. The form has to be filled out in English and signed personally by the applicant. For minors, the application must be signed by one of the parents or a legal guardian.
