Singapore Visa

All visitors to Singapore must satisfy the following basic requirements before being considered for entry:
- A passport that is valid for at least six more months from intended arrival in Singapore
- Sufficient funds for the length of your intended stay
- A completed Disembarkation/Embarkation Card
- A valid Singapore visa (to check whether you need a visa, see Visa Requirements)
- A confirmed onward or return ticket (whichever is applicable)
- Evidence that you can enter your next destination (for example, a visa)
- A Yellow Fever Vaccination Certificate, if applicable
- Foreigners on short-term work assignments in Singapore for up to 60 days (such as speakers at a seminar, religious workers or journalists) will required a Miscellaneous Work Pass that is sponsored by a Singapore-based organization or society. - Foreigners can perform certain short-term work activities in Singapore without a work pass. These include seminars, journalism and sports. For details, please visit www.mom.gov.sg/passes-and-permits/work-pass-exempt-activities .
* Holders of Diplomatic, Official and Service passports are exempted from visa requirements.
† Holders of Diplomatic, Official and Service passports are exempted from visa requirements for a stay of up to 30 days.

Important Notes:
Visa applications may be accepted as early as 30 days before your intended arrival in Singapore.
Each application for a visa will be considered on its own merits.
A Singapore visa is not an immigration pass. It is a pre-entry permission for the holder of a valid Singapore visa to travel to and seek entry, into Singapore. The grant of immigration pass will be determined by the Immigration & Checkpoints Authority (ICA) officers at the point of entry. Possession of a valid visa alone does not guarantee entry into Singapore
A holder of a valid Singapore visa who is found suitable for entry into Singapore will be issued with an immigration pass to enter and remain in Singapore. You are advised to check your passport for the arrival visit pass endorsement when in Singapore and take note of the period of stay granted before leaving the checkpoint. The period of stay granted is shown on the visit pass endorsement given on your passport and it is not tied to the validity of your visa.
Immigration and Checkpoints Authority (ICA) may share applicant’s personal information with other Government agencies to process any applications you have made or to render you a service, so as to serve you in the most efficient and effective way, unless such sharing is prohibited by legislation.

Overview
How to Submit Your Application:
You have two options for submitting your application: either by scheduling an appointment at the Visa Application Centre or through the mail-in application process.Option A) Submission by Appointment:
To submit your application at the Visa Application Centre, you need to schedule an appointment. Once your appointment is confirmed, you will receive an appointment confirmation email along with an appointment letter. If you are applying as part of a family or group, each member must book an individual appointment. For further details, please refer to the "Apply for a Visa" section.
Option B) Send your complete application
- Send your complete application by generating address label vfsforms.mioot.com/forms/GPS/USA/SGP/
- Complete visa application along-with Notarized copy of passport (DO NOT SEND ORIGINAL PASSPORT) and notarized copy of USPR card/US visa, Mandatory declaration form and supporting documents should be mailed to VFS Global – Singapore Visa Application Center Please send a money order / cashier's cheque in US currency payable to "VFS Services (USA) Inc. for the visa, service fee and optional applicable fee for additional value-added services.
Note: Personal/corporate cheques will not be accepted. IMPORTANT NOTE: You are advised to apply for an entry visa within 30 days prior to arrival in Singapore. Please only send notarized copies of original documents.
Mail in your complete and error-free application along-with all supporting documents as per the document checklist and payment receipt to VFS centre in San Francisco.
Step 4: Prepare the following documents for mailing:
- Fully completed visa application
- Notarized copies passport/s. (First two pages and last two pages)
- Supporting documents as per the document checklist
Step 5: Mail these items, along with a money order or cashier's cheque in US currency payable to "VFS Services (USA) Inc.," covering the visa fee, service fee, and any optional value-added services fee. Please note that personal or corporate cheques will not be accepted.
Important Note: It is recommended to apply for an entry visa within 30 days before your intended arrival in Singapore.
Mail your complete and accurate application, along with all supporting documents as specified in the document checklist and payment receipt, to the VFS centre in San Francisco.

Visa Free Transit Facilities
Nationals of the Commonwealth of Independent States, Georgia, India, The People’s Republic of China (PRC), Turkmenistan and Ukraine may be eligible for the Visa-Free Transit Facility (VFTF). For more information on the VFTF, click here.
You will also need a visa if you are travelling on:
- A Palestinian Authority passport
- A temporary passport issued by the United Arab Emirates
- Refugee travel documents issued by a Middle East country. These travel documents are subject to assessment of recognition for entry into Singapore.

Visa Fees
The visa processing fee for every application is USD 23 and has to be paid upon application of visa. The visa processing fee is non-refundable, regardless of the outcome of the application or if you choose to withdraw after the process of your visa application has commenced.
VFS Global Service Charges
A non-refundable service fee of USD 55 for every application is chargeable by VFS Services (USA) Inc.
If submitting a Banker/Cashier check or Money order, please ensure the following information is included on the Banker/Cashier check or Money order:
- Payable to the "VFS Services (USA) Inc."
- Applicant’s Full Name behand the payment instrument (Banker/Cashier check or Money order)
Personal checks are not accepted.

Photo Specifications
- Recent passport sized colour photo taken within the last 3 months
- Size 35mm X 45 mm ; 2 inch X 2 inch (US passport size) is acceptable
- White background
- Matt or semi–matt finish
- Full face visible and without the headgear (Headgear worn according to religious reasons is acceptable).
- Facial features clearly visible
Please note the following while taking photograph:
- You should face the camera directly
- Facial features should be clearly evident in the photo
- Spectacles can be worn if normally used, but there should be no reflection on the eyeglasses. The eyes should be clearly visible
- Background should be plain white
- Facial image should not be too big, hair should not be cropped off, part of shoulders should be visible
- The photograph should have an even exposure of light
- Blurred or Grainy photos aren't accepted
- Photos that are cropped and printed aren't accepted
- Photos taken as Selfie aren't accepted

Processing Time

The processing of visa applications can take up to 5 business days from the date of receipt of complete applications at the visa application center. Although some applications may take longer up to 15 business days. Applicants should therefore give allowance for processing and possible postal delays before their intended departure date. The processing time required is independent of the mode of application (i.e. either by post or in person). Applicants need to plan their travel in advance as there is no facility for expediting the visa application process.
Mail-in Application
- Application will be verified by VFS Center in 3 business days from the date it is delivered to the application Center.
- The processing of visa applications can take take additional up to 5 working days from the date application is processed by the visa application center. Although some applications may take up to 15 business days . Applicants should therefore give allowance for processing and possible postal delays before their intended departure date. The processing time required is independent of the mode of application (i.e. either by post or in person). Applicants need to plan their travel in advance as there is no facility for expediting the visa application process.
* Applications can only be processed if received within the 30 days from date of departure.
