- The application is rejected.
Short stay visas are processed in Jakarta.

Please note below points :
The visa is an instrument of the immigration policy of the State; therefore, obtaining a visa is not a right.
The visa application must be submitted in person
The visa processing time of minimum 15 calendar days is counted when the application file reaches the Embassy and provided that a complete file is submitted. Applicants applying at VFS Austria Bali are advised to lodge their application as early as possible (min. 30 calendar days before intended departure) due to logistic reasons.
For submission of application less than 18 calendar days before the date of departure, an approval from the Embassy is required before submitting the application.
Should the visa be refused, the applicant can appeal against the decision. The appeals are explained at the visa refusal notification
Non Indonesian citizen residing in Indonesia must present proof of a long stay visa, work permit and re-entry visa. For Non-Indonesian Applicants the Indonesian Visa / Work permit should be valid for at least 3 months. Only legal residents in Indonesian can request a Schengen visa Austria Visa Application Centre at Jakarta and Bali.
Presenting all mentioned documents does not imply or guarantee that the visa will be granted, but that these documents are part of the requirements established by the Austrian legislation on Immigration matters. The final decision lies with the Austrian Consular authorities.
All documents should be translated in English or German
Holders of official or diplomatic passports do not require a visa to enter Austria.
The Austrian Embassy in Jakarta is able to process short stay visas (Schengen visas) for Slovenia and Malta.
Where Embassy of Austria has decided to cooperate with an external service provider for the collection of applications while establishing the ‘one-stop’ principle for the lodging of applications creates a derogation from the general rule that an applicant must apply at the Austrian Visa Application Centres in Indonesia. There is also a possibility for all applicants to voluntarily lodge applications directly at its diplomatic missions or consular posts.
