Overview
This type of visa is applicable for those who travel on Business.
Citizens of Azerbaijan who plan to visit Croatia are required to have a visa. If you reside in Azerbaijan please check whether you require a visa for Croatia: http://www.mvep.hr/en/consular-information/visas/visa-requirements-overview/.
Important notice
Pursuant to the Government’s Decision, the Republic of Croatia decided to apply Decision No. 565/2016/EU according to which all visitors holders of valid Schengen documents do not require an additional (Croatian) visa to enter Croatia.
Visitors who are holders of:
- uniform visa (C) for two or multiple entries, valid for all Schengen Area Member States;
- visa with limited territorial validity (LTV visa), for two or multiple entries, issued to the holder of a travel document that is not recognised by one or more, but not all of the Schengen Area Member States, and which is valid for the territory of the Member States recognising the travel document;
- long-stay visa (D) for stays exceeding three months, issued by one of the Schengen Area Member State;
- residence permit issued by one of the Schengen Area Member State;
do not require a visa for transit or intended stays in the territory of Croatia not exceeding 90 days in any 180-day period.

The period of validity of the above mentioned Schengen documents must cover the duration of the transit or stay.
Information for the holders of the Residence card of a family member of a Union citizen
A family member of a citizen of an EU Member State or the European Economic Area may travel to Croatia without a visa, if (s) he has a valid passport and a valid Residence card of a family member of a Union citizen, and is travelling in the company of or is joining the family member who is a citizen of an EU Member State or the EEA. If the family member of a citizen of an EU Member State or the EEA does not have such a card, (s) he needs a Croatian visa that will be issued on the basis of an accelerated procedure, free of charge.
A short-stay visa (C-visa) allows the visitor to transit through, or stay in the territory of the Republic of Croatia for a maximum of 90 days in any period 180 day-period. It is issued for one, two, or multiple entries for the purpose of transit, tourism, business, private or other purposes. Its validity period depends on the circumstances of the visitor’s travel to Croatia and may not exceed five years.
The visa shall not entitle a visitor to enter the Republic of Croatia.
A foreigner cannot work in Croatia on the basis of a short-term visa.
The Embassy of Croatia in Ankara also covers the following countries (except Azerbaijan): Afghanistan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkey, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan.

- Representatives of non-profit organizations up to the age of 25, who are to attend seminars, conferences, sport, cultural or educational events organized by non-profit organizations.
- Close relatives – spouse, children (including adopted), parents (including custodians), grandparents or grandchildren – of citizens of Azerbaijan legally residing in Croatia, or of Croatian citizens;
- Members of official delegations, including permanent members of official delegations, who, following an official invitation shall participate in meetings, consultations, negotiations or exchange programmes, as well as events held in the territory of the Republic of Croatia by intergovernmental organisations;
- Pupils, students, post-graduate students and accompanying teachers who undertake trips for the purposes of study or educational training, including exchange programmes as well as other school-related activities;
- Persons with disabilities and the persons accompanying them, if necessary;
- Participants in international sport events and persons accompanying them in a professional capacity;
- Persons participating in scientific, academic, cultural or artistic activities, including university and other exchange programmes;
- Persons who have presented documents proving the necessity of their travel on humanitarian grounds, including to receive urgent medical treatment and the person accompanying such person, or to attend a funeral of a close relative or to visit seriously ill close relative;
- Representatives of civil society organisations when undertaking trips for the purposes of educational training, seminars, conferences, including in the framework of exchange programmes;
- Pensioners;
- Journalists and technical crew accompanying them in a professional capacity.
Fees for processing the visa application are waived for the following categories of Azerbaijan citizens:

Photo Specifications

Photographs must follow the below guidelines
- in colour
- 35x45 mm
- printed on normal photographic paper
- taken against a light background
- full face taken straight forward 30-36 mm from point of the chin to the head of hair
- the person is to be captured with neutral facial expression, with his/her eyes open and mouth closed
- The photograph of a person, who for religious or medical reasons is wearing a head cover, must show the person's cheeks, chin and forehead
- children in photographs must be alone, and their faces fully visible and eyes open

Processing Time
Visa processing time for citizens of Azerbaijan is within 15 calendar days from the day of the receipt of the application and required documents at the Embassy. The processing time may be extended up to 45 calendar days in individual cases, notably when further scrutiny of the application is needed. In urgent cases, the period of time for taking a decision on a visa application may be reduced to 2 working days or less.
For customers of other nationalities, standard visa processing time is up to 15 calendar days from the receipt of the application at the Embassy. In case the documents are not submitted as per requirements or due to other factors or justified reasons, the processing time may be extended to 30 or 60 days.

- Participants in international sport events and persons accompanying them in a professional capacity;
- Persons participating in scientific, academic, cultural or artistic activities, including university and other exchange programmes;
- Persons who have presented documents proving the necessity of their travel on humanitarian grounds, including to receive urgent medical treatment and the person accompanying such person, or to attend a funeral of a close relative or to visit seriously ill close relative;
- Representatives of civil society organisations when undertaking trips for the purposes of educational training, seminars, conferences, including in the framework of exchange programmes;
- Pensioners;

Overview
This type of visa is applicable for those who are transiting through Croatia.

Pursuant to the Government’s Decision, the Republic of Croatia decided to apply Decision No. 565/2016/EU according to which all visitors holders of valid Schengen documents do not require an additional (Croatian) visa to enter Croatia.
Visitors who are holders of:
- uniform visa (C) for two or multiple entries, valid for all Schengen Area Member States;
- visa with limited territorial validity (LTV visa), for two or multiple entries, issued to the holder of a travel document that is not recognised by one or more, but not all of the Schengen Area Member States, and which is valid for the territory of the Member States recognising the travel document;
- long-stay visa (D) for stays exceeding three months, issued by one of the Schengen Area Member State;
- residence permit issued by one of the Schengen Area Member State;
do not require a visa for transit or intended stays in the territory of Croatia not exceeding 90 days in any 180-day period.

Information for the holders of the Residence card of a family member of a Union citizen
A family member of a citizen of an EU Member State or the European Economic Area may travel to Croatia without a visa, if (s) he has a valid passport and a valid Residence card of a family member of a Union citizen, and is travelling in the company of or is joining the family member who is a citizen of an EU Member State or the EEA. If the family member of a citizen of an EU Member State or the EEA does not have such a card, (s) he needs a Croatian visa that will be issued on the basis of an accelerated procedure, free of charge.
A short-stay visa (C-visa) allows the visitor to transit through, or stay in the territory of the Republic of Croatia for a maximum of 90 days in any period 180 day-period. It is issued for one, two, or multiple entries for the purpose of transit, tourism, business, private or other purposes. Its validity period depends on the circumstances of the visitor’s travel to Croatia and may not exceed five years.
The visa shall not entitle a visitor to enter the Republic of Croatia.
A foreigner cannot work in Croatia on the basis of a short-term visa.

National Long Term Visa (D)

Overview
If you wish to stay in Croatia longer than 90 days for the purposes mentioned in the list below, you must apply for a D Visa.
Visa type D substituted the procedure of short-term (type C) visa applications of third-country nationals who have been granted temporary stay or issued stay and work permit by the competent Police Directorate/Police Administration.
The long-term visa is an approval to stay in the territory of the Republic of Croatia up to 30 days if a third-country national has been granted temporary stay for:
- family reunification,
- secondary school education,
- university studies,
- research,
- humanitarian grounds,
- life partnership,
- work;
- work of a posted worker;
- stay of long-term residents in another EEA Member State,
- stay of digital nomads,
- other purposes
When applicants fill out the information on the Crovisa site, Art. 57 of the Aliens Act" (čl. 57. ZOS), when the category is selected as "long", it can automatically take the long-term form instead of Schengen. The date of obtaining residence and work permits in D-type visa type applications must not be older than three months.
In addition, all documents, including long-term, must be scanned and uploaded to the system.

Please pay attention that pursuant to the Government’ Decision, the Republic of Croatia decided to apply Decision No. 565/2016/EU according to which all visitors who are holders of valid Schengen documents do not require an additional (Croatian) visa to enter Croatia.
Therefore, visitors who are holders of:
- Uniform (C) visa for two or multiple entries, valid for all Schengen Area Member States;
- Visa with limited territorial validity (LTV visa) for two or multiple entries, issued to a holder of a travel document that is not recognised by one or more but not all of the Schengen Area Member States and which is valid for the territory of the Member States recognising the travel document;
- Long-stay visa (D) for stays exceeding three months, issued by one of the Schengen Area Member State;
- Residence permit issued by one of the Schengen Area Member State;
do not require a visa for transit or intended stay in the territory of the Republic of Croatia that does not exceed 90 days in any period of 180 day-period.
Nationals of Kosovo, who are holders of Schengen visas with limited territorial validity (LTV visas), valid for all Schengen countries except for Greece and Spain, do not require additional Croatian visa for transit through or intended stays in the territory of the Republic of Croatia not exceeding 90 days in any 180-day period.
The period of validity of the above mentioned Schengen documents must cover the duration of the transit or stay.
This facilitated entry of aliens is in force until Croatia fully applies the provisions of the Schengen acquis.
Important notes and warnings:
- Please note that you may be required to come for a personal interview with the visa officer at the Embassy of the Republic of Croatia in Ankara prior to a decision being made on your application
- Embassy also reserves the right to ask for additional supporting documents during the visa application process.
- Submitting a visa application, including all the required documents, does not automatically mean that the visa will be issued.
- An issued visa is not a guarantee that a foreign citizen will be permitted to enter the Republic of Croatia. On every crossing of the border, the police may require the foreign citizen to present a photocopy of the Letter of Guarantee in case of both private and business visits, and it is therefore recommendable to carry the Letter of Guarantee, as well as the proof of having sufficient funds, in hand baggage.
- The decision to refuse a visa, indicating reasons for such a decision, shall be delivered to the customer in a visa refusal/annulment/revocation form.
- A foreign citizen may file a complaint against the decision to refuse a visa through the competent Embassy/Consulate of the Republic of Croatia, within 15 days from the date of receipt of the decision on visa refusal/annulment/revocation. The complaint shall be filed in Croatian. The fee for non-European countries is HRK 260 or EUR 26 or US$ 35, according to Section 78b of the Law on Administrative Fees.
- The visa application fee is non-refundable once the application has been accepted at the Embassy.
- An Embassy/Consular Post may invite the customer to an interview; require him/her to submit further documents and/or certified translation as well as the international certification (apostille) of the documents.
- Any falsification of the documents and the use of such documents may be subject to criminal prosecution.
A visa is the approval for transit through the territory of the Republic of Croatia or for entering the Republic of Croatia and staying up to three months in each six-month period counting from the date of the first entry.
It is issued for one, two or more entries for transit, tourist, business, private or other purposes.
The expiry date depends on the circumstances and cannot exceed five years.
The possession of a visa does not grant the entry into the Republic of Croatia. Other legal requirements must also be met. Aliens may not work on the territory of the Republic of Croatia based on a visa alone.
Aliens must apply for a visa prior to their entry into the Republic of Croatia, at the Visa Application Centre or the competent diplomatic mission/consular post.
An alien shall apply for the visa personally. Exceptionally, an alien need not file the application personally, but they shall present themselves when called upon by the diplomatic mission/consular post.
A visa application for an alien minor or an alien deprived of their business capacity shall be submitted by their legal representative.
Visa application forms shall be submitted no sooner than three months prior to the date of the intended trip.
