Important information
Submitting a visa application, including all the required documents, does not automatically mean that the visa will be issued.
The visa application fee is non-refundable once the application has been accepted at the Consulate.
Application is admissible, when the documents listed 1.-5. are submitted. Visa application shall be submitted no more than six months, and for seafarers in the performance of their duties no more than nine months, before the start of the intended trip, and, as a rule, no later than 15 calendar days before the start of the intended trip
During the examination of an application, the Consulate may request additional documents, and may contact the applicant.
The validity period of a visa depends on the circumstances of traveling.
The third-country national may not work in the territory of Croatia based on a short-term visa (visa C) alone.
Possession of a Croatian visa does not mean that the holder has an automatic right to enter Croatia. At the border or other controls, the visa holder may be requested to present documents justifying the purpose and conditions of the intended stay and that he/she has sufficient means of subsistence, both for the period of the intended stay and for the return to their country of origin or transit to a third country into which he/she is certain to be admitted, or that he/she is in a position to acquire such means lawfully (details available on Information sheet for visa holders)
If the visa is issued, applicant will receive Information sheet for visa holders as well.
The decision to refuse a visa, indicating reasons for such a decision, shall be delivered to the applicant in a visa refusal/annulment/revocation form.
An applicant may file a complaint against the decision to refuse a visa through the competent Embassy/Consulate of the Republic of Croatia/ VFS Global, within 15 days from the date of receipt of the decision, consular fee has to be paid as well. Documents Required
- Visa application form: filled out and signed by the applicant or both parents or legal guardian on behalf of minors (under the age of 18). For a minor, legal guardian/ both parents shall submit visa application. Online form is available on https://crovisa.mvep.hr/?lang=en
- Travel document: issued in the last 10 years, 2 empty pages, expiry date exceeding requested visa by 3 months.
- Face photograph: not older than 6 months, in colour, 35x45 mm, plain light colour background ; with neutral facial expression and shown person's cheeks, chin and forehead, if the person is wearing scarf for religious or medical reasons.
- Fingerprints: 10 fingers (Persons whose fingerprints have been collected within the previous 59 months should not have the fingerprints collected again. If, during the processing of the visa application, the consulate establishes that the applicant's fingerprints are not stored or are of low quality, the applicant shall be called to have his fingerprints collected).
- Visa fee: EUR 90.00 The visa fee is waived for children under 12 years and for certain categories of applicants, see: https://mvep.gov.hr/services-for-citizens/consular-information-22802/visas-22807/issuance-procedure/fees/22824
- Proof of financial means (one or more of the following documents):
- Recent personal bank statement with transaction’s list the last three months
- Pay or pension slips and/or bank account statements for the last 3 months, proof of scholarship, etc. Persons without their own resources: statement on sponsorship with proof of the sponsors’ financial funds. Funds must be equivalent to EUR 70 per day of the visit. If the visitor has submitted a proof of ensured accommodation, he/she must possess amount equivalent of EUR 30 per day of the visit. Exception: if stated in the letter of guarantee, that guarantor is covering all expenses.
- International credit card with a photocopy of the applicant’s bank statements associated to that credit card.
- Proof of socio-economic situation (one or more of the following documents):
- Job letter indicating the duration of recruitment, responsibility and salary
- A letter from the applicant's employer confirming the holiday grant
- For pupils - School/University certificate
- Proof of registered commerce for individual entrepreneurs, etc.
- Students must provide proof of enrolment at a Singapore educational institution (university or school).
- Plane ticket: booking for a round-trip airline ticket.
- Travel itinerary including hotel accommodation reservation or similar confirmation of accommodation for the entire trip.
- Evidence of travel itineraries if visit in several Member States are planned. Confirmation of the reservation of an organised trip or any other appropriate document indicating the envisaged travel plans.
- For minors (person under 18 travelling alone or with only one parent):
An authorisation to travel (alone or with one parent) indicating the purpose of the trip and signed by both parents/legal guardians or from the parent/guardian who does not travel, with copy of their passports or national identification cards. The signature(s) should be legalised by a notary office, or if parents are not in Singapore Singapore their written consent should be legalised by the relevant embassy, in the place of residence of the parents/legal guardians.

- Travel health insurance: valid for the Schengen area, covering any expenses which might arise in connection with repatriation for medical reasons, urgency medical attention, emergency hospital treatment or death during the stay. The minimum coverage for medical treatment EUR 30.000
- Foreign nationals in Singapore: Proof of legal residence in Singapore, valid for at least three months beyond the intended date of departure from the territory of the Member States
Proof of Purpose of stay - Tourist
- a complete travel itinerary, and confirmation of booked accommodation or certificate of paid accommodation in a hotel, camp, private renter or rented vessel and other form of tourist accommodation is presented and/or proof of payment.
- Proof of the applicant's financial circumstances (e.g. three months of bank book statements, bank account statements or fixed deposit statements)
- A letter from the applicant's employer confirming the holiday granted

Photo Specifications

Photographs must follow the below guidelines
- in colour
- 35x45 mm
- printed on normal photographic paper
- taken against a light background
- full face taken straight forward 30-36 mm from point of the chin to the head of hair
- the person is to be captured with neutral facial expression, with his/her eyes open and mouth closed
- The photograph of a person, who for religious or medical reasons is wearing a head cover, must show the person's cheeks, chin and forehead
Note: Please follow these instructions carefully. If the presented photos do not follow these requirements your application will be considered incomplete!

Processing Time
Consulate shall take a decision on the request to issue a visa within 15 calendar days of the date of the receipt of an admissible application submitted at Embassy of Republic of Croatia in Jakarta. That period may be extended up to a maximum of 45 calendar days in individual cases, notably when further scrutiny of the application is needed.
Personal presence: Application should be submitted in person.

Proof of Purpose of stay - Business
- guarantee letter from the applicant’s employer, stating the details of the applicant, the employment duration, designation, purpose and duration of travel.
- Visa applicants on business visit/commercial fairs/congress, invited by a legal person in the Republic of Croatia, shall enclose with the visa application a letter of guarantee
by legal person as proof of the purpose of their visit, filled out by the guarantor – a legal person from Croatia.
The guarantor shall enclose with the letter of guarantee a document proving its liquidity ("Bon 1" or "Bon 2", or certificate of the commercial court that no liquidation proceedings have been initiated etc.).
The letter of guarantee shall be signed by the person authorized to represent the guarantor.
If the person authorized to represent the legal person is a citizen the EEA/Switzerland or a third-country national, he/she must have approved temporary or permanent stay in Croatia. The validity period of temporary stay of the citizen of the EEA/Switzerland or the third-country national must cover the period to which the applicant is invited.

If the purpose of the visit is to attend commercial fairs or congress organised by non-Croatian organizers, letters of invitation from the organisation of this events or invitations to attend them:
- Invitation letter from the host organization in Croatia with following information has to be submitted:
- personal data of applicant (name and surname, date and place of birth, citizenship, number of the travel document, place of issue and expiration date of the travel document)
- purpose of visit
- the period in which the foreigner will stay in the Republic of Croatia
- information of accommodation in the Republic of Croatia
- information on who bears the costs of the stay in the Republic of Croatia
- name and surname, duty (position), address and telephone number of the contact person, from whom relevant information about the applicant can be obtained.
Invitation letter has to be issued on official letterhead.
Invitation letter has to be signed by the responsible person in the inviting institution.
Any appropriate document indicating the accommodation envisaged or proof of sufficient means to cover the accommodation.

Letter from a physician or a hospital in the Schengen area confirming the appointment; and confirming as well the necessity of treatment at that hospital or clinic, and
Proof of medical insurance or proof of payment for medical treatment. The applicant must present documents that proof that he has enough economic means to pay the medical treatment in its country of destination.
PROOF OF PURPOSE OF STAY - MEDICAL TREATMENT
- guarantee letter from the applicant’s employer, stating the details of the applicant, the employment duration, designation, purpose and duration of travel.
- Visa applicants invited by a legal person in the Republic of Croatia, shall enclose with the visa application a letter of guarantee by legal person as proof of the purpose of their visit, filled out by the guarantor – a legal person from Croatia.
- The guarantor shall enclose with the letter of guarantee a document proving its liquidity ("Bon 1" or "Bon 2", or certificate of the commercial court that no liquidation proceedings have been initiated etc.). The letter of guarantee shall be signed by the person authorized to represent the guarantor. Documents Required

- Travel document: issued in the last 10 years, 2 empty pages, expiry date exceeding requested visa by 3 months.
- Face photograph: not older than 6 months, in colour, 35x45 mm, plain light colour background ; with neutral facial expression and shown person's cheeks, chin and forehead, if the person is wearing scarf for religious or medical reasons.
- Fingerprints: 10 fingers (Persons whose fingerprints have been collected within the previous 59 months should not have the fingerprints collected again. If, during the processing of the visa application, the consulate establishes that the applicant's fingerprints are not stored or are of low quality, the applicant shall be called to have his fingerprints collected).

- Proof of socio-economic situation (one or more of the following documents):
- Job letter indicating the duration of recruitment, responsibility and salary

- Proof of registered commerce for individual entrepreneurs, etc.
- Students must provide proof of enrolment at a Singapore educational institution (university or school).
- Plane ticket: booking for a round-trip airline ticket.
- Travel itinerary including hotel accommodation reservation or similar confirmation of accommodation for the entire trip.
- Evidence of travel itineraries if visit in several Member States are planned. Confirmation of the reservation of an organised trip or any other appropriate document indicating the envisaged travel plans.
- For minors (person under 18 travelling alone or with only one parent):
An authorisation to travel (alone or with one parent) indicating the purpose of the trip and signed by both parents/legal guardians or from the parent/guardian who does not travel, with copy of their passports or national identification cards. The signature(s) should be legalised by a notary office, or if parents are not in Singapore Singapore their written consent should be legalised by the relevant embassy, in the place of residence of the parents/legal guardians.

PROOF OF PURPOSE OF STAY - PRIVATE VISIT
Visa applicants on private visit, invited by a natural person, must enclose along with the visa application a letter of guarantee by natural person as proof of the purpose of their visit, filled out by the guarantor – a natural person from Croatia.
The guarantor can be a Croatian national or the citizen of the EEA/Switzerland or third-country national, with granted residence in Croatia, who receives income or has financial means in Croatia.
Along with the letter of guarantee, the guarantor-natural person must enclose proof of a permanent source of income in the Republic of Croatia (certificate of salary, certificate of pension) in the preceding three months or the relevant proof of possession of funds in the bank in the Republic of Croatia.
The guarantor's signature on the letter of guarantee shall be certified by a public notary.

- Proof of the applicant's financial circumstances (such as three months of bank book statements, bank account statements or fixed deposit statements).

Proof of the stay – Transit
In case of transit through the territory of the Member States, the applicant shall present the visa of the country to be visited after the transit, as well as the reservation of the airplane or train tickets towards its final destination.

Documents Required
- Visa application form: filled out and signed by the applicant or both parents or legal guardian on behalf of minors (under the age of 18). For a minor, legal guardian/ both parents shall submit visa application. Online form is available on https://crovisa.mvep.hr/?lang=en
- Travel document: issued in the last 10 years, 2 empty pages, expiry date exceeding requested visa by 3 months.
- Face photograph: not older than 6 months, in colour, 35x45 mm, plain light colour background ; with neutral facial expression and shown person's cheeks, chin and forehead, if the person is wearing scarf for religious or medical reasons.
- Fingerprints: 10 fingers (Persons whose fingerprints have been collected within the previous 59 months should not have the fingerprints collected again. If, during the processing of the visa application, the consulate establishes that the applicant's fingerprints are not stored or are of low quality, the applicant shall be called to have his fingerprints collected).

- Proof of financial means (one or more of the following documents):
- Recent personal bank statement with transaction’s list the last three months
- Pay or pension slips and/or bank account statements for the last 3 months, proof of scholarship, etc. Persons without their own resources: statement on sponsorship with proof of the sponsors’ financial funds. Funds must be equivalent to EUR 70 per day of the visit. If the visitor has submitted a proof of ensured accommodation, he/she must possess amount equivalent of EUR 30 per day of the visit. Exception: if stated in the letter of guarantee, that guarantor is covering all expenses.
- International credit card with a photocopy of the applicant’s bank statements associated to that credit card.
- Proof of socio-economic situation (one or more of the following documents):
- Job letter indicating the duration of recruitment, responsibility and salary
- A letter from the applicant's employer confirming the holiday grant
- For pupils - School/University certificate
- Proof of registered commerce for individual entrepreneurs, etc.
- Students must provide proof of enrolment at a Singapore educational institution (university or school).
- Plane ticket: booking for a round-trip airline ticket.
- Travel itinerary including hotel accommodation reservation or similar confirmation of accommodation for the entire trip.
- Evidence of travel itineraries if visit in several Member States are planned. Confirmation of the reservation of an organised trip or any other appropriate document indicating the envisaged travel plans.
- For minors (person under 18 travelling alone or with only one parent):
An authorisation to travel (alone or with one parent) indicating the purpose of the trip and signed by both parents/legal guardians or from the parent/guardian who does not travel, with copy of their passports or national identification cards. The signature(s) should be legalised by a notary office, or if parents are not in Singapore Singapore their written consent should be legalised by the relevant embassy, in the place of residence of the parents/legal guardians.

- Travel health insurance: valid for the Schengen area, covering any expenses which might arise in connection with repatriation for medical reasons, urgency medical attention, emergency hospital treatment or death during the stay. The minimum coverage for medical treatment EUR 30.000
- Foreign nationals in Singapore: Proof of legal residence in Singapore, valid for at least three months beyond the intended date of departure from the territory of the Member States
Proof of the stay – Transit of seafarers
- Seaman's book, with a minimum validity of 6 months, if relevant.
- Letter from the maritime agency of the Member State where the seafarer will embark. The letter must be signed and stamped by that agency and include the following data:
- Personal data: seafarer’s name and family name, place and date of birth, passport number (date of issue and date of expiry),
- the seafarer’s position on the ship (if there are several sailors, this information may be included in an attached signed and stamped list),
- name of the ship,
- full itinerary:
- date and airport of entry into the territory of the Member States,
- port of embarking,
- duration of the seafaerer’s stay on the boat,
- port of disembarking, if applicable,
- date of return to Singapore, if applicable.
- If the visa application is to be submitted by an Indonesian maritime agency: letter issued by the Singaporean agency that confirms the seafarer(s) employment on the ship.
- The seafarer’s work contract (photocopy)
The maritime agency shall also indicate the name and address of the Singaporean agency that it collaborates with, which will be in charge of submitting the visa application or, that will be in charge of transporting the seafarer to the seaport upon arrival in the Member State where he or she is to board.

Processing Time
Consulate shall take a decision on the request to issue a visa within 15 calendar days of the date of the receipt of an admissible application submitted at Embassy of Republic of Croatia in Jakarta. That period may be extended up to a maximum of 45 calendar days in individual cases, notably when further scrutiny of the application is needed.

Travel insurance is mandatory for all Schengen countries.
A visa is the approval for transit through the territory of the Republic of Croatia or for entering the Republic of Croatia and staying up to three months in each six-month period counting from the date of the first entry.
It is issued for one, two or more entries for transit, tourist, business, private or other purposes.
The expiry date depends on the circumstances and cannot exceed five years.
The possession of a visa does not grant the entry into the Republic of Croatia. Other legal requirements must also be met. A foreigner cannot work in Croatia on the basis of a short-term visa. The applicant for a multiple-entry visa must have travel health-insurance policy that covers the period of the first visit to Croatia.
- Proof of residence for nationals other than Singapore: a photocopy of the Resident card with expiry date.
- Means of transportation and intention to return to the country of residence: reservation of return travel ticket for airplane, bus, or boat; registration card and driver's license if travelling by car; if the person is travelling to a third country, then proof of itinerary (travel ticket, etc.).
- Proof of the purpose of stay in Croatia:
- certificate of a paid tourist package;
- booking of a hotel or other accommodation;
- private accommodation booking (copy of the decision of the competent office in Croatia approving the renting)
- day to day itinerary with ensured accommodation for the entire stay
- proof of ownership or lease of a boat/yacht etc.;
- Documents proving sufficient funds to support the stay in Croatia and to return to the state of residence or to travel to a third state:
- 70 EUR per day of the estimated stay in Croatia
- 30 EUR per day of the estimated stay in Croatia if a third-country national is in possession proof of paid tourist package, or similar document
- Proof of professional or student status: evidence of employment, certificate of school attendance or proof of studying etc; for retired persons – proof of pension;
- For minors and persons deprived of legal capacity: visa application shall be submitted by a parent/legal representative, including:
- birth certificate of the minor (if parents are legal guardians)
- decision of the competent body designating the legal guardian

Letter of invitation from the inviting entity in the Member State of destination in which it is stated the name of the organisation, contact data, data of the invited person, dates of stay in the Schengen area and reasons of the invitation.

PROOF OF PURPOSE OF STAY - scientific or cultural reasons, to attend sport events or for religious purposes –
- guarantee letter from the applicant’s employer, stating the details of the applicant, the employment duration, designation, purpose and duration of travel.
Visa applicants on scientific or cultural visit or sport event, invited by a legal person in the Republic of Croatia, shall enclose with the visa application a letter of guarantee by legal person as proof of the purpose of their visit, filled out by the guarantor – a legal person from Croatia.
The guarantor shall enclose with the letter of guarantee a document proving its liquidity ("Bon 1" or "Bon 2", or certificate of the commercial court that no liquidation proceedings have been initiated etc.).
The letter of guarantee shall be signed by the person authorized to represent the guarantor.
If the person authorized to represent the legal person is a citizen the EEA/Switzerland or a third-country national, he/she must have approved temporary or permanent stay in Croatia. The validity period of temporary stay of the citizen of the EEA/Switzerland or the third-country national must cover the period to which the applicant is invited.

If the purpose of the visit is to scientific / cultural /sport event organised by nonCroatian organizers, letters of invitation from the organisation of this events or invitations to attend them:
Invitation letter from the host organization in Croatia with following information has to be submitted:
- personal data of applicant (name and surname, date and place of birth, citizenship, number of the travel document, place of issue and expiration date of the travel document)
- purpose of visit
- the period in which the foreigner will stay in the Republic of Croatia - information of accommodation in the Republic of Croatia
- information on who bears the costs of the stay in the Republic of Croatia
- name and surname, duty (position), address and telephone number of the contact person, from whom relevant information about the applicant can be obtained.
Invitation letter has to be issued on official letterhead. Invitation letter has to be signed by the responsible person in the inviting institution.

Overview
A long-stay visa (D) is an authorization for entry if the third-country national has been granted a temporary stay, or a stay and work permit by the competent Police Directorate or Police Administration in the Republic of Croatia, and if he/she requires a short-stay visa to enter Croatia.
The long-term visa is an approval to enter and stay in the territory of the Republic of Croatia for up to 30 days (within which an application for a biometric residency card should be submitted once the visa holder arrives to the Republic of Croatia) if a third-country national has been granted temporary stay for the purpose of:

- secondary school education
- university studies
- research
- humanitarian grounds
- life partnership
- work
- work of a posted worker

Visa type D is issued to third-country nationals who have been granted temporary stay or have been issued stay and work permit, and are required to hold a short-term visa to enter the Republic of Croatia; for a maximum of 30-days' stay; for one (1) or multiple (MULT) entries; with the period of validity no longer than six months; long-term visa shall not become valid prior to the beginning of validity of the granted temporary stay or the issued stay and work permit in the Republic of Croatia; in a valid travel document in the form of the sticker also used for the issuance of visas type C; the letter “D” is entered into the category “Type of Visa”.
A long-term visa application shall be considered admissible if:
- it was submitted no earlier than two months before and no later than two months after the beginning of validity of temporary stay permit or the issued stay and work permit;
- it was submitted on a prescribed form;
- a travel document is presented along with the application with validity of at least three months longer than the validity of the granted temporary stay;
- the third-country national has been granted temporary stay or issued a stay and work permit in the Republic of Croatia;
- the prescribed administrative fee has been paid.
If the above conditions are not fulfilled, long-term visa application shall be considered inadmissible and all the documents enclosed shall be returned to the applicant.
Only foreign citizens with legal residence in Singapore can submit visa application at the Croatian Embassy in Jakarta through VFS Center Singapore. Proof of legal residence has to be submitted with visa application as well.
Croatian Embassy in Jakarta does not cooperate with agents.

Documents Required
- Visa application form - to be filled online https://crovisa.mvep.hr/?lang=en, printed out and signed personally
- One recent photograph in color, 35x45 mm, glued on the application form
- Passport issued within the last 10 years, must contain at least two empty pages for the visa, valid for at least three months longer than the validity of the granted temporary stay or issued stay and work permit
- Fingerprints
- Visa fee for visa type D (details attached), paid to the bank account prior to the visit to the Embassy
- Foreign nationals in Singapore: Proof of legal residence in Singapore has to be enclosed with visa application
- Proof of granted temporary stay or issued stay and work permit in the Republic of Croatia (copy acceptable)
- Proof of means of transportation: copy of the one way travel ticket reservation
- Travel health insurance should be:
- valid for Croatia or world-wide
- valid for 30 days counting from the date of entering in to Croatia
- containing a minimum coverage of 30.000 EUR for urgent medical treatment and repatriation in case of death
Visa application form must be digitally filled out, printed and signed by the applicant, or a parent or legal guardian on behalf of minors. Please ensure to bring your Serial number and PIN with your form (Serial number: e.g. 1434277 PIN: e.g. STGII). In addition to a digitally filled form, a hand filled Application for Long-Term Visa (D) should be also brought to the Visa Application Centre.
Croatian Embassy in Jakarta may require you to submit additional supporting documents and/or certified translation as well as the international certification of the public documents (e.g. birth and marriage certificates) during the visa application process.

Photo Specifications

Photographs must follow the below guidelines
- in colour
- 35x45 mm
- printed on normal photographic paper
- taken against a light background
- full face taken straight forward 30-36 mm from point of the chin to the head of hair
- the person is to be captured with neutral facial expression, with his/her eyes open and mouth closed
- The photograph of a person, who for religious or medical reasons is wearing a head cover, must show the person's cheeks, chin and forehead
