Overview

This type of visa is applicable for those who tend to visit the Czech Republic for tourism.

Visa Fees

Exemption of Visa Fee:

• Children below 6 years on the date of submission;
• School pupils, students, postgraduate students and accompanying teachers who undertake stays for the purpose of study or educational training
• Researchers from third countries travelling for the purpose of carrying out scientific research;

VFS Global Service Charges: Applicants shall be levied a service charge as follows. All VFS’s service charges are inclusive taxes.

• The applicable visa fee in Vietnamese Dong (VND) is as per current exchange rate and will be updated later. It is subject to change without notice.
• The applicants who submit their applications at the Visa Application Centre can pay the visa fee in cash or through credit / debit card.
• Applicants exempted from visa fee need to pay only VFS Global Service fee.
• Applicants will be required to pay the VFS Global service fee via the international credit card/debit card from Thursday, 30 November 2023 onwards to confirm their appointment slot.
• All fees are non-refundable.
• An official receipt should be obtained for all payments made.

Documents Required

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS FOR SCHENGEN VISA APPLICATION

1. Visa application form, completely filled out, dated and signed
2. Photograph (4,5 x 3,5cm)
3. Valid passport + copy of data page:
• Valid at least 3 months after intended return to Vietnam, has got at least 2 free pages, issued in previous 10 years.
4. Non-Vietnamese applicant: Residence permit in VNM + copy
5. Copies of previous Schengen, US, Canadian, or Australia visas

Purpose of travel and conditions of stay

6. Detailed travel itinerary/ certificate of the travel agency confirming the booking of an organized trip
7. Round air- ticket reservation
8. Means of transport within the Schengen area, if visiting more countries
9. Proof of accommodation for the whole stay in the Schengen area – hotel reservation for the whole stay in the Schengen area

Proof of occupation and financial background

11. In case of employee
1. Labour contract or decision of appointment
2. Letter from the employer on a letterhead company paper stating employment status, position held, date of recruitment, length of contract, salary and the confirmation of granted leave
3. Bank statement for last 3 months
4. Social insurance booklet with updated information (copy)
12. In case of businessman
1. Original certificate of company registration (copy to be submitted)
2. Bank statement for the last 3 months
3. Declaration of tax payment
13. In case of retired person
1. Retirement book (original + copy)
2. Proof of other income, if relevant ( i.e. remittances, income from property, etc.)
14. In case of students
1. Student ID
2. Confirmation from school/ university on a letterhead paper regarding the stats of the student and consent with absent if during school year

Proof of social integration in the country of residence:

15. Confirmation of residence information with update information (original + copy)
16. Possibly, any other proofs f bonds of the applicant to the home country, such as ownership of real-estate, background of the closet family members (e.g. labour contracts, proof of their income, school confirmation of attendance in the study programme, etc.
17. Wedding certificate (original +copy) in case that the application is married
18. Birth certificate (original +copy) in case that the applicant has children

For Minor

19. If traveling with one parent only, written consent of the other parent or guardian.
20. If traveling without parents, written consent of both parents/ guardians.

• Vietnamese document need to be presented with an official translation to Czech or English language (by translator certified by Department of Justice).
• In all applicants aged 12 and older fingerprints must be collected.
• Visa applications are decided within 15 calendar days. In justified cases, the procedure period can be extended to 45 days. There is no express fee for faster visa appointment or procedure.
• The Embassy of the Czech Republic in Hanoi reserve the right to request an interview.
• If you are asked by any visa facilitator for any kind of fee on behalf of the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Hanoi, kindly report the incident to the Vietnamese police as well as to the Embassy. This does not apply to the service fee and additional service fee of the external service provider VFS Global visa center.

Declaration of the applicant

• That my passport and requested original documents will be held by the embassy during via application process,
• That presenting an incomplete application form and file may result in a refusal of my visa application,
• That presenting supporting documents which are not update, true or indicate that I am planning to stay in the Czech Republic/ Schengen area longer than 90 days within 180-day period may result in a refusal of my visa application,
• That there is no legal right for receiving a visa and in case of refusal, and the visa fee is not refundable.

Important notes: in case the applicants is accompanied by travel agencies or intermediary individuals to prepare and submit documents, travel agencies or intermediary individuals must obtain power of attorney of the applicant (with applicant's signature, certified by local authority) to enter VAC with the applicant. Visa Application Center for Czech Republic shall maintain the rights to refuse third party to enter our Center if the power of attorney is missing.

This visa application is applicable in case you are travelling for taking part in cultural/sports events. It is also applicable for other purpose such as conference, seminar, fair exhibition, short term employment, short term employment, official invitation authorized by Alien Police. This visa is given for a period of the stay up to 90 days within 180 days.

Overview

This visa is solely for the purpose of undertaking journeys by members of official delegations who, following an official invitation, participate in meetings, consultations, negotiations or exchange programs, as well as events held in the Czech by intergovernmental organizations.

The Embassy of the Czech Republic in Vietnam maintains the possibility for applicants with official passport to submit their applications directly at the embassy.

8. Original of medical travel insurance:
• In a conditions of insurance there must be clearly stated that insurance is valid for while Schengen area.
• Minimum insurance coverage is EUR 30.000
