Short Stay
Denmark is part of the Schengen Region in Europe and therefore a short stay visa for Denmark is a so-called Schengen Visa. A Schengen visa is issued for the purpose of a short stay (less than 90 days) in Denmark and other Schengen countries. The Schengen visa is strictly a visitor's visa and does NOT give the holder right to reside or work in Denmark.
A short stay visa can be applied for the below listed purpose of travel.

Tourism

Overview
This visa is solely for the purpose of leisure travel including vacationing, cruising, sightseeing and other recreational activities. If during any portion of their visit to Denmark the applicant intends to engage in business, or official duties he/she must refer to other relevant visa categories. Applicants are strongly advised to visit the website of the Danish Immigration Service regarding eligibility and rules.

Photo Specifications
General
- The photograph for each visa applicant must be an un-mounted, full face photo, color photo as described below
- The photograph must have been taken within the last six months.
- Two photographs must be submitted.
Photo Size
The photo for each visa applicant submitted must measure :
- 35 mm x 45 mm with the head centered in the frame.
- The head (measured from the top of the hair to the bottom of the chin) should measure atleast 30 mm.
Photo Appearance
- The photograph must be a full-face front view in which the visa applicant is facing the camera directly.
- The face should cover about 70-80 percent of the photo area.
- The photograph MUST be in color and have only a white or light background. Photos with dark, busy, or patterned backgrounds will not be accepted.
- In general, the applicant's head, including both face and hair, should be shown from the crown of the head to the tip of the chin on top and bottom and from hairline side-to-side. It is preferable that ears be exposed.
- Sunglasses or other wear, which detracts from the face, are not acceptable unless required for medical reasons (an eye patch, for example).
- A photograph depicting a person wearing a traditional facemask or veil that does not permit adequate identification is not acceptable.
Note : Please follow these instructions carefully. If photographs presented do not meet these requirements your application will be considered incomplete.

The Danish mission has 15 days to make a decision on your visa application from the date the mission receives your passport, application and biometrics. In some cases, the processing time can be extended to 45 days when further case processing is needed

Photo Specifications
Size of photograph for visa applications
After the instalment of a new system for scanning biometrics, including photographs for visa application, it is now possible to lodge a photograph of size 35 x 45 mm. Length of the head should not exceed 30 to 36 mm in length from chin to top of hair.
The photograph must still be in color with bright background.
Danish Visa Application Centre has been instructed by Danish mission to inform applicants that the visa application is not acceptable if the photograph does not comply with the above format.
Applicants may therefore obtain a new photograph that meets all requirements before The Danish Visa Application Centre can receive the application.

Eu-Eea Family Member

Overview
This visa is solely for family members of EU or EEA nationals. This visa is given for a travel period of less than 90 days.
You may be entitled to an accelerated visa procedure free of charge if you meet the following criteria:
- you are a family member of an European Union (EU) or European Economic Area (EEA) citizen; and
- that EU/EEA citizen is travelling to or is residing in a member state other than that of which he/she is a citizen; and
- you are accompanying the EU/EEA citizen or planning to join him/her in the Schengen State of destination.
If you think you are entitled to an accelerated visa procedure you will need to show proof that you meet these criteria when you submit your visa application.

Iceland
Iceland / Greenland / Faroe Islands
Visa applications for Iceland, Greenland and the Faroe Islands are processed by the Danish embassy in Islamabad.
All applications for short term visitor's visas (up to 90 days) for Iceland, Greenland and the Faroe Islands must be submitted personally through a Gerry’s visa application centre.

Long stay
Overview
