Overview

The Discontinuation of Temporary Arrangement on Exemption or Required Documents for Tourist Visa Application

The temporary arrangement, effective since 1 December 2012, on exemption of required documents for tourist visa application of those frequent travelers who have travelled to Thailand within a year shall be discontinued. Under the normal process, the frequent travelers are now required to submit all necessary documents.

To avoid a lengthy and unnecessary visa process, all references and contact details provided in the application must belong to the applicant, particularly his/her direct phone numbers.

Any wrong category of visa applied or false statement or forged documents would result in denial of visa requested.

The Royal Thai Embassy reserves the right, however, to ask for particular documents or interview the applicant, if necessary.

• The photographs should be clear not hazy or not be edited and of good quality and should be printed on normal photographic paper. Please note that we will be unable to accept photographs that do not meet these specifications.
• One photograph should be glued to the form.

• Passport or travel document with validity not less than 6 months and 5 days from the time of application
• One set of passport photocopy page 1-5 (information page for Machine Readable Passport) & renewal page, correction page & last Thai visa page (if any)
• Visa application form completely filled in with original signature.
• 2 recent passport sized photograph (not exceeding 6 month) of the applicant. (frontal view, without dark glasses & head gear except for religious purpose.)
• Updated bank statement for the last 6 months in original (20,000 Baht per person and 40,000 Baht per family) with solvency certificate from concerned bank. In case of company bank statement, trade license (original notarized English translated and photocopy of the original) have to be attached.
• Letter from company organizing the tour with the following details (which will be attached with main set of documents)
  • Introduction of the company.
  • Number of people travelling.
  • Purpose of visit & how they are qualifying for the tour in case it is an incentive/promotional tour.
  • Guarantee that all passengers will maintain a good behavior while their stay in Thailand and will return to Bangladesh after the completion of the tour.
  • Who will bear expenses.
  • Travel date with time, flight no., arrival date & time in Thailand. The address of Thailand, period of staying with departure date, time, flight details. The places to be visited need to mention in the letter too.
• The consent letter from company chairman/managing director as company’s bank statement being used and assigned person’s name and designation will have to be authorized too as the person will be signatory.
• The authorized signatory might be called to deposit his signature at the Royal Thai Embassy. All first timers might be called for interview. The date and time of appointment will be fixed after submission of application.
• Detailed itenary with flight timings & hotel names.
• Last 6 month’s personal original bank statement and solvency certificate of every single applicant. In case of company bank statement, trade license of same company to be attached.
• Individual office letter from their concern branch office and trade license (photocopy of original trade license and original of English translated and notarized copy) if applicant is businessman.
• List of applicants with date of birth, passport number & designation on the letter heads of the company ^ all pages to be signed by the authorized signatory.
• Work document – e.g. office letter, office ID card (attested by the concerned authority), invitation letter if it is non immigrant category.
• Hotel reservation voucher on the hotel’s letter head pad.
• Trade license of tour operating organization (English translated and notarized)
• Authorized signatory of the letter will be the local guarantor of all applicants in the

• One set of passport photocopy page (information page for Machine readable passport) & renewal page, correction page & last Thai visa page (if any)
• Visa Application Form completely filled in with original signature.
• 1 color passport-sized photos (3.5 x 4.5cm), taken against a white background and within the past 6 months; (frontal view, without dark glasses & head gear except for religious purpose).
• For individual or a group of family members who want to apply for tourist visa must submit below requirement as applicable.
• Work document from local office in Bangladesh.

• Copy of Work permit/letter from BOI.

  • Personal bank statement and solvency certificate (at least 20,000 Baht per person and 40,000 Baht per family or 60,000 Taka per person and 120,000 Taka per family). In case of foreign bank statement, solvency certificate is not mandatory. If personal bank statement is not available, immediate family members can sponsor but need to provide proof of relation. In case of the applicant is sponsored by his/her company and the company Bank Statement and Bank Solvency Letter are submitted, trade license must be attached.
  • Salary Bank Statement (preferably) / Pay Slip / Salary Certificate are required for employees. In case the applicant is unable to submit the salary certificate, details must be mentioned in the Office NOC.
• In case of family applications, birth certificate (for child) and marriage certificate (for spouse) should be submitted.
• For transit: Visa of third country in a passport or proof of destination visa on arrival (for category TS)
• International health card’s copy for yellow fever infected countries applicant.
• Ticket booking copy.

Non-Immigrant Category:

• Passport or Travel document valid not less than 6 months and 5 days.

• Invitation letter from concerned organization in Thailand.

  • Personal bank statement and solvency certificate (at least 20,000 Baht per person and 40,000 Baht per family or 60,000 Taka per person and 120,000 Taka per family).
• In case of family applications, birth certificate (for child) and marriage certificate (for spouse) should be submitted.
• International health card’s copy for yellow fever infected countries applicant.

Overview

This type of visa will issue to applicant who wishes to enter the Kingdom of Thailand with the following purposes:

1. To enjoy workcation
2. To Participate in following activities: Muay Thai courses, Thai cooking classes, sport training, serious and continuous medical treatment, seminars and music festival.
3. Spouse and dependent children (age under 20 years old) of DTV holder.

DTV visa allows holder to stay in Thailand for 180 days per entry. Holder may extend the period of stay for 1 time per each entry, for a period not exceeding 180 days (maximum stay will be 180 days + 180 days per entry). Holder may reenter Thailand as often as required for as long as the visa remains valid.

• The photographs should be clear not hazy or not be edited and of good quality and should be printed on normal photographic paper. Please note that we will be unable to accept photographs that do not meet these specifications.
• One photograph should be glued to the form.

Processing Time

Dhaka- Minimum 7 working days including the date of submission.

Chittagong- Minimum 8 working days including the date of submission.

Sylhet- Minimum 10 working days including the date of submission.

Please note that while the time frames indicated above will apply in most cases, some applications may take longer than usual. Applicants are requested to check their passport status by clicking the link Track your Application online before coming to collect their passports.
