Identify visa type
Choose the right visa for your trip
The first step is to determine which visa type you need, and check whether you’re eligible to apply for it.
You’ll also need to know the documents that you’ll have to submit along with your application, how long the application might take and fees you’ll have to pay.
Each application must comply with the guidelines applicable for your visa category.
If your documents are not in English, you may need to get translations prepared before applying.

Get started with your visa application
When you are ready to apply, download your visa application form here or from the Embassy of the Czech Republic website.
Once you have downloaded your visa application form, complete it, print the completed form, and bring it with you to the Visa Application Centre for submission.

Book an appointment
Choose a Visa Application Centre and make an appointment
Once you have applied for your visa, you need to book an appointment in order to submit your visa application.
Once you’ve booked your appointment, you’ll receive an appointment confirmation email along with the letter of appointment.
If you are part of a family or group, you’ll have to book individual appointments for each member of the family or group. If you are traveling with a group organized by a Travel Agency, your travel agent will book a group appointment through our call center by calling +66 (0) 21187010 or by emailing info.czth@vfshelpline.com.
Citizens of countries other than Thailand, Laos, Cambodia and Myanmar who have valid residence permit and valid re-entry stamp in one of these mentioned countries are allowed to apply for Schengen Visas at the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Bangkok or at VFS Global Joint Visa Application Center in Bangkok.
In case of applicants travelling to the Schengen area and to the UK (or other European non-Schengen country) during the same trip, it is relevant only in case more entries are required.
If the applicant needs to enter the Schengen boarders two or more times, double or multiple entries will be required. In this case applicants will have to give proof of holding a valid UK Visa (or other non-Schengen country Visa) before applying for a Schengen Visa. Otherwise the application will be considered for single entry only.
Giving proof of holding a valid UK Visa (or other non-Schengen country Visa), is not required if the applicant does not enter the Schengen boarders 2 or more times. Proof of transportation from and to the UK (or other non-Schengen country) is still required.
Citizens of Thailand with Czech roots are able to apply at any Czech Republic Visa Application Centre. The applicant must provide proof of the given origin.We strongly recommend all applicants to book an appointment in order to reduce waiting time at the Visa Application Center. Applicants who wish to walk-in without an appointment will be served on the same day (Subject to availability of slots within the daily limit) but priority will be given to those applicants who have booked an appointment.

You’ll have to submit your complete visa application at the Visa Application Centre in person.

Track your application
Stay informed about the progress of your application
After you have submitted a visa application at the VFS Global Visa Application Centre of Czech Republic in Thailand, you can check your application status by entering your reference number and surname.
You can also track your visa application status online.
For those applicants who have availed our SMS service, SMS will be sent to inform on the status of the application.

Collect your passport
Receive your passport from the Visa Application Centre
After a visa application decision has been made, you can pick up your passport from the Visa Application Centre or have it returned to you by courier for an additional fee. For some Visa Application Centres your passport will only be returned via courier.
Collecting your Passports in person: bring the receipt issued by the Visa Application Centre and a form of Government identification. If permitted you may be able to send a representative to collect your Passports; they will need to present a letter of authorisation signed by you, bring the receipt issued to you by the Visa Application Centre and their Government identification.
Please check with the Visa Application Centre at time of your appointment for the options available to collect your Passports.
