  • Overview

    Depending on the purpose of your travel to Georgia, there are different categories of visas that will apply to the occasion. Whether you are planning to go on a visit, study or work and reside there permanently, you will have to apply for a different Georgian Visa, accordingly. Depending on the purpose of travelling you may be granted a visa with the right of stay for a short-term period, long-term period or with the right for transiting the territory of Georgia. The authorized body for issuing, extending, and terminating Georgian visas is Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia/Embassy of Georgia in India.

    Shor-term visa may be issued according to the number of days indicated in a visa application but for not more than 30 calendar days. And only if you have visited Georgia at least once during the previous year, and there are grounds for requesting short-term visa you may be granted with a short-term multiple-entry visa for a maximum of five years. Besides, the total period of an alien’s entry and stay in Georgia in any 180-day period shall not exceed 90 calendar days.

    Long-term visa may be issued with the right of multiple entries to Georgia for 90 calendar days or one year period of validity and stay.

    Note: Once the application is submitted in VFS Centre and payment receipt is generated, applicant needs to upload scanned payment receipt in Georgia online portal and updated application form needs to be submitted in VFS center.

    • The acceptable method of payment for Visa Fees is by TT (Telegraphic transfer) US Dollars (USD). Applicants can approach Bank of convenience, and should follow the below process;
    • Fill up a deposit slip & TM form with information of account details Embassy of Georgia 409000600421 RBL BANK with the below Swift Code

    • Carry print of the visa fee detail stated in the website

    Applicant need to go to the VFS center with the proof of visa fee payment.

    • The visa fee is non-refundable.
    • There is a service charge of BDT 4492/-
    • The applicable visa fee is in USD.

    For Applicants applying from Sri Lanka

    • The visa fee is non-refundable.

    • There is a service charge of LKR 9087/- ( 53 USD)

      Note : “Any demand draft having contradicting MICR number or incorrect information shall not be acceptable”

    • The applicable visa fee is in LKR 4060/-.

    A recent digital colour photograph (digital photo 472 x 610 pixels in dimension; scanned photo – 4 x 5.16 cm in size, scanned at 300 DPI resolutions)

  • Processing Time

    The Processing Time for the application at the Embassy of Georgia is 10 working days

    The Processing Time for Student application at the Embassy of Georgia is 2 months

    Please be advised that due to the above mentioned estimated Processing Time, we are not able to guarantee the return of passports by specific dates for travel.
