This visa allows people to visit Japan for a holiday or recreation for a stay up to 90 days.

Visa Fees And Service Charges
You must pay the applicable Visa fee and Service fee when submitting your application. The Visa fees are determined based on your Nationality and Type of Entry to Japan. Please refer to the table given below to know your visa fees. (Effected date 2025/04/01)

General Single Entry NPR 2,780 Multiple Entry NPR 5,560 Transit NPR 650 Visa Fees ( For Indian):

Please Note:
Service Charges/ Commissions : In addition to the standard visa fees, commissions will be charged by Japan Visa Application Centre based on the services provided.
The details are as follows.
Visa Fee is refunded only if the visa is not approved by the Embassy. Service/Courier Charge are inclusive of all taxes and non-refundable.
There is a service charge of NPR 2430 (inclusive of all taxes) levied per application over.
Service charge will be levied on applicants exempted from paying visa fees.
Applicants are required to prepay the VFS service fees online while booking their appointments via any bank card. However, Visa and value-added service fees will be collected at the time of application submission at VFS centre.

Photo Specifications
Applicant must present a colored photograph of 45 X 35 mm.
The photograph must show a person with neutral facial expression, open eyes and closed mouth.
In the photo the head of the person (from the tip of the chin to the scalp) must occupy about 2/3 of the photo, but should not be higher than 36 mm.
The head in the photo must be situated in the center of the photoghraph.
The distace between the eyes, (from the middle of the left eye to the middle of the right eye) must be at least 8mm, optimally 10 mm.
The photo must be made on high quality glossy and smooth paper without surface structure, with high printing quality.
The background must be light in colour or white, without any pattern and should have sufficient contrast of the face and hair.
Note: Please follow these instructions carefully. If the presented photos do not follow these requirements your application will be considered incomplete!

Processing Time
It takes usually six (06) working days including the date of submission. Please make sure to apply in advance to avoid any inconvenience. In addition there are some cases which may take longer processing period depending on the individual circumstances.
