VISA TYPES
Short Term Visa
This visa is valid to visit Malaysia as a tourist visa which is valid for 3 or 6 months depending on the consulate discretion, tourist visa allows visitors to stay for a maximum of 30 days, however African passport holders can stay for a maximum of 14 days
Incase of minors either the parents/guardians should sign the application form on behalf of the applicant upon submission. Visa applications can also be submitted by a representative provided all
documents are fully completed and signed.
Application forms MUST BE TYPED, NO handwritten forms, incomplete and unsigned applications will be accepted.
Visa fees are non-refundable and have to be paid only in cash or card at the time of application submission.

The processing of each application is approximately 3 to 5 working days. However visa applicants should bear in mind that each application is subject to an individual assessment and processing time may vary depending on the decision of the Malaysian High Commission.
Applicants need to bring their original receipt that was issued to them at the time of submission of visa application. Incase of any representative collecting the passport on behalf of the applicant original receipt, Authorisation letter, photocopy of the applicants Emirates ID and the representative orignial Emirates ID MUST be provided.
The passport collection timing is 15:00 - 17:00 (Sunday - Thursday except holidays)
Tourist

Overview
A tourist visa is issued to the applicant who wish to visit Malaysia for Holiday, visiting family members etc.
A tourist visa is valid for 3 or 6 months depending on the embassy or consulate discretion, tourist visa allows visitors to stay for a maximum of 30 days, however African passport holders can stay for a maximum of 14 days.
Application forms MUST BE TYPED, NO handwritten forms, incomplete and unsigned applications will be accepted.
It is advisable to plan your travel well in advance to avoid any inconvenience.

- Two (2) copy of the visa application form to be filled (MUST BE TYPED) and signed by the applicant
- Two (2) passport size photographs (white background)
- Original passport with at least 6 months validity from date of travel, copy of passport, and copy of Emirates ID from applicants. (for each applicant)
- Residence visa should be valid till the date of return and copy of residence visa page
- Latest (3 months) updated bank statement.
- Letter of “No Objection” addressed to Embassy or Consulate General of Malaysia from Company / Sponsor (for applicants). Applicants who are self-employed / operating own business may produce a copy of valid trade license.
- Copy of Hotel and round trip Flight reservation.

If staying at relatives / friends’ house in Malaysia you will require to provide the following documents:
- Letter of Invitation to stay (addressed to the Embassy or Consulate General of Malaysia) from relative / friend / sponsor of the Applicant indicating full address in Malaysia – MUST BE TYPED
- Passport copy, copy of Malaysian Visa Page and Malaysian ID

A Business Visa is issued to the applicant who wish to visit Malaysia to conduct the business meeting, conference, Trade Fairs, etc.
Application forms MUST BE TYPED, NO handwritten forms, incomplete and unsigned applications will be accepted.

Single Entry Pass
This is issued to foreign nationals who require a visa to enter Malaysia mainly for Student, Employment, Dependent, and MM2H. It is normally valid for a single entry and for a period of three (3) months from the date of issue.
Student

An Employment Visa is issued to the applicants who are allowed to work in Malaysia.
