Short Term Visa For Tunisian
Overview
If you are planning a short visit to Austria for up to 90 days or less and you do not have the nationality of one of the countries of the European Economic Area (EEA), you may need to apply for a Schengen visa. Austria is one of the 26 European countries forming the Schengen Area which have no border controls between them. These countries also issue a common visa, the Schengen visa for a stay of up to 90 days in any period of 180 days.
IMPORTANT
Applications can be lodged earliest six (6) months before the planned trip.
Visas are not issued on the day of the application and may take up to 4 weeks, notably when further scrutiny of the application is needed or in cases of representation where the authorities of the represented Member State are consulted. Exceptionally, when additional documentation is needed in specific cases, the period for the decision may be extended up to a maximum of 60 calendar days.
Holders of Schengen visas are still subject to immigration control at the point of entry and are not guaranteed entry into any of the Schengen countries.
