Short Term Visa (C- Visa)
If you are not a citizen of Uzbekistan, but reside in Uzbekistan; please check whether you require a visa for Croatia click here.
Important notice:
Please pay attention that pursuant to the Government’ Decision, the Republic of Croatia decided to apply Decision No. 565/2016/EU according to which all visitors holders of valid Schengen documents do not require an additional (Croatian) visa to enter Croatia.
Therefore, visitors who are holders of:
- Uniform (C) visa for two or multiple entries, valid for all Schengen Area Member States;
- Visa with limited territorial validity (LTV visa) for two or multiple entries, issued to a holder of a travel document that is not recognized by one or more but not all of the Schengen Area Member States and which is valid for the territory of the Member States recognizing the travel document;
- Long-stay visa (D) for stays exceeding three months, issued by one of the Schengen Area Member State;
- Residence permit issued by one of the Schengen Area Member State;
do not require a visa for transit or intended stay in the territory of the Republic of Croatia that does not exceed 90 days in any period of 180 day-period.
Nationals of Kosovo, who are holders of Schengen visas with limited territorial validity (LTV visas), valid for all Schengen countries except for Greece and Spain, do not require additional Croatian visa for transit through or intended stays in the territory of the Republic of Croatia not exceeding 90 days in any 180-day period.
The period of validity of the above mentioned Schengen documents must cover the duration of the transit or stay.
This facilitated entry of aliens is in force until Croatia fully applies the provisions of the Schengen acquis.
Important notes and warnings:
- Please note that you may be required to come for a personal interview with the visa. Officer at the Embassy of the Republic of Croatia in Nur-Sultan prior to a decision being made on your application.
- Embassy also reserves the right to ask for additional supporting documents during the visa application process.
- Submitting a visa application, including all the required documents, does not automatically mean that the visa will be issued.
- An issued visa is not a guarantee that a foreign citizen will be permitted to enter the Republic of Croatia. On every crossing of the border, the police may require the foreign citizen to present a photocopy of the Letter of Guarantee in case of both private and business visits, and it is therefore recommendable to carry the Letter of Guarantee, as well as the proof of having sufficient funds, in hand baggage.
- The decision to refuse a visa, indicating reasons for such a decision, shall be delivered to the customer in a visa refusal/annulment/revocation form.
- A foreign citizen may file a complaint against the decision to refuse a visa through the competent Embassy/Consulate of the Republic of Croatia, within 15 days from the date of receipt of the decision on visa refusal/annulment/revocation. The complaint shall be filed in Croatian. The fee for non-European countries is HRK 260 or EUR 34 or US$ 38, according to Section 78b of the Law on Administrative Fees.
- The visa application fee is non-refundable once the application has been accepted at the Embassy.
- An Embassy/Consular Post may invite the customer to an interview; require him/her to submit further documents and/or certified translation as well as the international certification (apostille) of the documents.
- Any falsification of the documents and the use of such documents may be subject to criminal prosecution.
- A visa is the approval for transit through the territory of the Republic of Croatia or for entering the Republic of Croatia and staying up to three months in each six-month period counting from the date of the first entry.
- It is issued for one, two or more entries for transit, tourist, business, private or other purposes.
- The expiry date depends on the circumstances and cannot exceed five years.
- The possession of a visa does not grant the entry into the Republic of Croatia. Other legal requirements must also be met. Aliens may not work on the territory of the Republic of Croatia based on a visa alone.
- Aliens must apply for a visa prior to their entry into the Republic of Croatia, at the Visa Application Centre or the competent diplomatic mission/consular post.
- An alien shall apply for the visa personally. Exceptionally, an alien need not file the application personally, but they shall present themselves when called upon by the diplomatic mission/consular post.
- A visa application for an alien minor or an alien deprived of their business capacity shall be submitted by their legal representative.
- Visa application forms shall be submitted no sooner than three months prior to the date of the intended trip.

Overview

IMPORTANT NOTICE
Pursuant to the Government’ Decision, the Republic of Croatia decided to apply Decision No. 565/2016/EU according to which all visitors holders of valid Schengen documents do not require an additional (Croatian) visa to enter Croatia.

The period of validity of the above mentioned Schengen documents must cover the duration of the transit or stay.
Information for the holders of the Residence card of a family member of a Union citizen
A family member of a citizen of an EU Member State or the European Economic Area may travel to Croatia without a visa, if (s) he has a valid passport and a valid Residence card of a family member of a Union citizen, and is travelling in the company of or is joining the family member who is a citizen of an EU Member State or the EEA. If the family member of a citizen of an EU Member State or the EEA does not have such a card, (s) he needs a Croatian visa that will be issued on the basis of an accelerated procedure, free of charge.
A short-stay visa (C-visa) allows the visitor to transit through, or stay in the territory of the Republic of Croatia for a maximum of 90 days in any period 180 day-period. It is issued for one, two, or multiple entries for the purpose of transit, tourism, business, private or other purposes. Its validity period depends on the circumstances of the visitor’s travel to Croatia and may not exceed five years.
The visa shall not entitle a visitor to enter the Republic of Croatia.
A foreigner cannot work in Croatia on the basis of a short-term visa.

The following are exempt from visa fees upon application:
- Family members of a Croatian citizen (spouse and children),
- Family members of citizens of EEA Member States,
- Children up to the age of 12,
- Holders of diplomatic and service passports travelling in their official capacity
- Pupils, students, postgraduate students and teachers accompanying them when they come to attend school, study and professional training,
- Researchers coming to conduct research, as provided for by the Recommendation of the European Parliament and of the Council of 28 September 2005 to facilitate the issue by the Member States of uniform short-stay visas for researchers from third countries travelling within the Community for the purpose of carrying out scientific research,
- Representatives of non-profit organizations up to the age of 25, who are to attend seminars, conferences, sport, cultural or educational events organized by non-profit organisations.
- For citizens of Armenia, Azerbaijan, Cape Verde, Georgia, Moldova (holders of non-biometric passports), Ukraine , visa fee is 35 EUR.

VFS SERVICE FEE
Apart from the visa fee, VFS service charge of the equivalent of 33 Euros +70 Euros of transfer documents from Tashkent to Astana and back, inclusive of VAT per application will be levied for applicants applying at the visa application centre. This is applicable for all categories of visa applications.

Documents Required

The purpose of stay and accommodation is proven by:
- hotel, hostel, camp… - confirmation of hotel or other accommodation booking with names and surnames of all customers, who will apply for visa, proof of payment for package holiday, organized tourist travel, etc.
- private accommodation – confirmation of reservation, along with a copy of a competent office’s decision authorizing renting services (local government decision/trade license)
- use of (personal) property – proof of property ownership (title deed/land register certificate), lease agreement; invitation/declaration by an owner who is a foreign national
- nautical tourism – confirmation of berth reservation/payment in Croatia, excerpt from the register of yachts, charter payment
- one-day trips to Croatia (from Montenegro, Bosnia and Herzegovina) – travel agency’s payment confirmation; rent-a-car confirmation, etc.
Accredited travel agency
The application shall be submitted by an authorised representative of a travel agency for individual or group travels.
The agency shall submit the following documents related to a specific travel:- a certificate of travel package
- a list of travelers (name, surname, passport number)
- information about accommodation in Croatia (address)
- information about transportation
- group or individual travel health insurance
- a proof of paid visa fees
- a filled out visa application form, signed manu propria
- a valid passport
- a 35x45 mm colour photo
and for each traveller:
The Embassy reserves the right to request additional documents or interview any person from a group of travelers.
The customers are requested to read the basic requirements carefully and conform to the same while submitting the application.

- Passport: issued within the last 10 years, with expiry date exceeding the expiry date of the requested visa by a minimum of three months, and containing at least two empty pages.
Please copy all previous (valid and expired) visas and used pages.
- One photograph: please see the information on the Photo Specification page.
- Travel health insurance to cover the possible expenses related to repatriation, for health reasons, urgent medical assistance and/or urgent hospitalization, with the minimum coverage of EUR 30 000. The insurance must be valid for the territory of the Republic of Croatia during the entire stay in Croatia.
The customer for a multiple-entry visa must have travel health-insurance policy that covers the period of the first visit to Croatia.

- Proof of residence for nationals other than Kazakhstan: a photocopy of the stay permit;
- Means of transportation and intention to return to the country of residence: reservation of return travel ticket for airplane, bus, or boat; registration card and driver's license if travelling by car; if the person is travelling to a third country, then proof of itinerary (travel ticket, etc.).
- Proof of the purpose of stay in Croatia:
- certificate of a paid tourist package;
- booking of a hotel or other accommodation;
- private accommodation booking (copy of the decision of the competent office in Croatia approving the renting)
- day to day itinerary with ensured accommodation for the entire stay
- proof of ownership or lease of a boat/yacht etc.;
- Documents proving sufficient funds to support the stay in Croatia and to return to the state of residence or to travel to a third state:
- 70 EUR per day of the estimated stay in Croatia
- 30 EUR per day of the estimated stay in Croatia if a third-country national is in possession proof of paid tourist package, or similar document
The supporting documents may include: pay slip and/or bank account statements about the balance and transactions on your bank account in the last three months, a pension slip, proof of scholarship received etc.
- Proof of professional or student status: evidence of employment, certificate of school attendance or proof of studying etc.; for retired persons – proof of pension;
- For minors and persons deprived of legal capacity: visa application shall be submitted by a parent/legal representative, including:
- birth certificate of the minor (if parents are legal guardians)
- decision of the competent body designating the legal guardian
If a minor is traveling without a parent/legal guardian, (s)he must carry a notarized consent of a legal guardian that shall contain personal information of the parent/legal guardian and the purpose, the period and length of stay in Croatia, the period for which the consent is issued, and the signature of the parent/legal guardian.
The documents attached shall not be older than three months.
Croatian Embassy may require you to submit additional supporting documents and/or certified translation as well as the international certification (apostille) of the documents during the visa application process.

Photo Specifications
Photographs must follow the below guidelines
- in colour
- 35x45 mm
- printed on normal photographic paper
- taken against a light background
- full face taken straight forward 30-36 mm from point of the chin to the head of hair
- the person is to be captured with neutral facial expression, with his/her eyes open and mouth closed
- The photograph of a person, who for religious or medical reasons is wearing a head cover, must show the person's cheeks, chin and forehead
- children in photographs must be alone, and their faces fully visible and eyes open

Processing Time
Standard visa processing time is up to 15 days from the receipt of the application at the Embassy (it could be shorter, depending on the documentation). However, in case the documents are not submitted as per requirement or due to other factors or justified reasons, the processing time may be extended to 30 or 60 days.

The letter of guarantee form is filled out by the guarantor – legal person from Croatia.
The guarantor shall enclose with the letter of guarantee a document proving solvency ("Bon 1" or "Bon 2", or certificate of the commercial court that no liquidation proceedings have been initiated etc.).
The letter of guarantee shall be signed by the person authorized to represent the guarantor and certified by an official stamp.
The Embassy/Consulate keeps the original letter of guarantee.
The customer is given a copy of the letter of guarantee to present as a proof of the purpose of stay in Croatia if so requested by the competent border control authority.- Letter of invitation issued by a Croatian state authority, or the organizer of an international meeting or manifestation organized under the auspices of the Croatian Parliament, the President of the Republic of Croatia or the Government of the Republic of Croatia (copy)
- Documents proving sufficient funds to support the stay in Croatia and to return to the state of residence or to travel to a third state:
- 70 EUR per day of the estimated stay in Croatia
- 30 EUR per day of the estimated stay in Croatia if a third-country national is in possession of a certified Letter of Guarantee by Legal Person from the Republic of Croatia
Exceptionally, if the Letter of Guarantee/Invitation Letter indicates the guarantor is fully accepting all the expenses related to visiting and departing from Croatia, the customer can be exempt from the requirement to present the proof of sufficient funds.
The supporting documents may include: pay slip and/or bank account statements about the balance and transactions on your bank account in the last three months, a pension slip, proof of scholarship received etc.
- Proof of professional or student status: evidence of employment, certificate of school attendance or proof of studying etc; ; for retired persons – proof of pension
- Accommodation: hotel booking, private or other accommodation, real estate title deed or lease, proof of ownership or lease of a boat etc. Accommodation can be provided by the guarantor or the inviting party if so indicated in the Letter of Guarantee or the Letter of Invitation.

Pursuant to the Government’ Decision, the Republic of Croatia decided to apply Decision No. 565/2016/EU according to which all visitors holders of valid Schengen documents do not require an additional (Croatian) visa to enter Croatia.
Visitors who are holders of:
- uniform visa (C) for two or multiple entries, valid for all Schengen Area Member States;
- visa with limited territorial validity (LTV visa), for two or multiple entries, issued to the holder of a travel document that is not recognized by one or more, but not all of the Schengen Area Member States, and which is valid for the territory of the Member States recognizing the travel document;
- long-stay visa (D) for stays exceeding three months, issued by one of the Schengen Area Member State;
- residence permit issued by one of the Schengen Area Member State;
do not require a visa for transit or intended stays in the territory of Croatia not exceeding 90 days in any 180-day period.

The period of validity of the above mentioned Schengen documents must cover the duration of the transit or stay.
Information for the holders of the Residence card of a family member of a Union citizen
A family member of a citizen of an EU Member State or the European Economic Area may travel to Croatia without a visa, if (s) he has a valid passport and a valid Residence card of a family member of a Union citizen, and is travelling in the company of or is joining the family member who is a citizen of an EU Member State or the EEA. If the family member of a citizen of an EU Member State or the EEA does not have such a card, (s) he needs a Croatian visa that will be issued on the basis of an accelerated procedure, free of charge.
A short-stay visa (C-visa) allows the visitor to transit through, or stay in the territory of the Republic of Croatia for a maximum of 90 days in any period 180 day-period. It is issued for one, two, or multiple entries for the purpose of transit, tourism, business, private or other purposes. Its validity period depends on the circumstances of the visitor’s travel to Croatia and may not exceed five years.
The visa shall not entitle a visitor to enter the Republic of Croatia.
A foreigner cannot work in Croatia on the basis of a short-term visa.
Please note that you may be required to come for a personal interview with the visa officer at the Embassy of the Republic of Croatia prior to a decision being made on your application.
Submitting a visa application, including all the required documents, does not automatically mean that the visa will be issued.
An issued visa is not a guarantee that a foreign citizen will be permitted to enter the Republic of Croatia. On every crossing of the border, the police may require the foreign citizen to present all relevant documents, including copies of the Letters of Guarantee for both private and business visits.
The decision to refuse a visa, indicating reasons for such a decision, shall be delivered to the customer in a visa refusal/annulment/revocation form.
A foreign citizen may file a complaint against the decision to refuse a visa through the competent Embassy/Consulate of the Republic of Croatia, within 15 days from the date of receipt of the decision on visa refusal/annulment/revocation. The complaint shall be filed in Croatian. The fee for non-European countries is EUR 34 or US$ 38, according to Section 78b of the Law on Administrative Fees.
The visa application fee is non-refundable once the application has been accepted at the Embassy.
Any falsification of the documents and the use of such documents may be subject to criminal prosecution.

Apart from the visa fee, VFS service charge of the equivalent of 33 Euros +70 Euros of transfer documents from Tashkent to Astana and back, inclusive of VAT per application will be levied for applicants applying at the visa application centre. This is applicable for all categories of visa applications.

- Travel health insurance to cover the possible expenses related to repatriation, for health reasons, urgent medical assistance and/or urgent hospitalization, with the minimum coverage of EUR 30 000. The insurance must be valid for the territory of the Republic of Croatia during the entire stay in Croatia.
The customer for a multiple-entry visa must have travel health-insurance policy that covers the period of the first visit to Croatia.

- Proof of residence for nationals other than Kazakhstan: a photocopy of the stay permit;
- Means of transportation and intention to return to the country of residence: reservation of return travel ticket for airplane, bus, or boat; registration card and driver's license if travelling by car; If the person is travelling to a third country, then proof of itinerary (travel ticket, etc.).
- Proof of the purpose of stay in Croatia:

For spouses, children, and parents of Croatian nationals: marriage certificate or birth certificate shall be submitted.
- For the members of the immediate family of a Croatian citizen and a citizen of the European Economic Area (EEA): Certificate from the Register of Births or Marriages and a photocopy of the ID card of the Croatian citizen or the EEA citizen;
- Documents proving sufficient funds to support the stay in Croatia and to return to the state of residence or to travel to a third state:
- 70 EUR per day of the estimated stay in Croatia
- 30 EUR per day of the estimated stay in Croatia if a third-country national is in possession of a certified Letter of Guarantee by Natural or Legal Person from the Republic of Croatia
Exceptionally, if the Letter of Guarantee indicates the guarantor is fully accepting all the expenses related to visiting and departing from Croatia, the customer can be exempt from the requirement to present the proof of sufficient funds.
The supporting documents may include: pay slip and/or bank account statements about the balance and transactions on your bank account in the last three months, a pension slip, proof of scholarship received etc.
- Proof of professional or student status: evidence of employment, certificate of school attendance or proof of studying etc; ; for retired persons – proof of pension
- Accommodation: hotel booking, private or other accommodation, real estate title deed or lease, proof of ownership or lease of a boat etc. Accommodation can be provided by the guarantor or the inviting party if so indicated in the Letter of Guarantee or the Letter of Invitation.
- For minors: birth certificate, If a minor is traveling without a parent/legal guardian, (s)he must carry a notarized consent of a parent/legal guardian that shall contain personal information of the legal guardian and the purpose, the period and length of stay in Croatia, the period for which the consent is issued, and the signature of the parent/legal guardian.
The documents attached shall not be older than three months.

Photographs must follow the below guidelines
- in colour
- 35x45 mm
- printed on normal photographic paper
- taken against a light background
- full face taken straight forward 30-36 mm from point of the chin to the head of hair
- the person is to be captured with neutral facial expression, with his/her eyes open and mouth closed
- The photograph of a person, who for religious or medical reasons is wearing a head cover, must show the person's cheeks, chin and forehead
- children in photographs must be alone, and their faces fully visible and eyes open

Processing Time
Standard visa processing time is up to 15 days from the receipt of the application at the Embassy (it could be shorter, depending on the documentation). However, in case the documents are not submitted as per requirement or due to other factors or justified reasons, the processing time may be extended to 30 or 60 days.

Customers coming to Croatia following an invitation of a Croatian state authority, to participate in international meetings of public interest or events held under the auspices of the Croatian Parliament, President of the Republic of Croatia or Government of the Republic of Croatia, shall submit a letter of invitation issued by a competent authority of the Republic of Croatia, or the host organization of the international meeting or event.
The letter of invitation has to include:- information about the customer : name and surname, date and place of birth, nationality, number of travel document, place of issue and expiry of travel document,
- purpose of stay
- duration of stay in the Republic of Croatia and information about accommodation,
- information about the person bearing the costs of the customer’s stay in Croatia, name and surname, function (position, job), address and telephone number of the contact person who can provide the relevant information about the customer.
The letter of invitation does not have to be in original.
- Documents proving sufficient funds to support the stay in Croatia and to return to the state of residence or to travel to a third state:
- 70 EUR per day of the estimated stay in Croatia

If a minor is traveling without a parent/legal guardian, (s)he must carry a notarized consent of a legal guardian that shall contain personal information of the parent/legal guardian and the purpose, the period and length of stay in Croatia, the period for which the consent is issued, and the signature of the parent/legal guardian.

Overview

IMPORTANT NOTICE
Pursuant to the Government’ Decision, the Republic of Croatia decided to apply Decision No. 565/2016/EU according to which all visitors holders of valid Schengen documents do not require an additional (Croatian) visa to enter Croatia.
Visitors who are holders of:
- uniform visa (C) for two or multiple entries, valid for all Schengen Area Member States;
- visa with limited territorial validity (LTV visa), for two or multiple entries, issued to the holder of a travel document that is not recognized by one or more, but not all of the Schengen Area Member States, and which is valid for the territory of the Member States recognizing the travel document;
- long-stay visa (D) for stays exceeding three months, issued by one of the Schengen Area Member State;
- residence permit issued by one of the Schengen Area Member State;
do not require a visa for transit or intended stays in the territory of Croatia not exceeding 90 days in any 180-day period.

The period of validity of the above mentioned Schengen documents must cover the duration of the transit or stay.
Information for the holders of the Residence card of a family member of a Union citizen
A family member of a citizen of an EU Member State or the European Economic Area may travel to Croatia without a visa, if (s) he has a valid passport and a valid Residence card of a family member of a Union citizen, and is travelling in the company of or is joining the family member who is a citizen of an EU Member State or the EEA. If the family member of a citizen of an EU Member State or the EEA does not have such a card, (s) he needs a Croatian visa that will be issued on the basis of an accelerated procedure, free of charge.
A short-stay visa (C-visa) allows the visitor to transit through, or stay in the territory of the Republic of Croatia for a maximum of 90 days in any period 180 day-period. It is issued for one, two, or multiple entries for the purpose of transit, tourism, business, private or other purposes. Its validity period depends on the circumstances of the visitor’s travel to Croatia and may not exceed five years.
The visa shall not entitle a visitor to enter the Republic of Croatia.
A foreigner cannot work in Croatia on the basis of a short-term visa.
Please note that you may be required to come for a personal interview with the visa officer at the Embassy of the Republic of Croatia prior to a decision being made on your application.
Submitting a visa application, including all the required documents, does not automatically mean that the visa will be issued.
An issued visa is not a guarantee that a foreign citizen will be permitted to enter the Republic of Croatia. On every crossing of the border, the police may require the foreign citizen to present all relevant documents, including copies of the Letters of Guarantee for both private and business visits.
The decision to refuse a visa, indicating reasons for such a decision, shall be delivered to the customer in a visa refusal/annulment/revocation form.
A foreign citizen may file a complaint against the decision to refuse a visa through the competent Embassy/Consulate of the Republic of Croatia, within 15 days from the date of receipt of the decision on visa refusal/annulment/revocation. The complaint shall be filed in Croatian. The fee for non-European countries is EUR 34 or US$ 38, according to Section 78b of the Law on Administrative Fees.
The visa application fee is non-refundable once the application has been accepted at the Embassy.
Any falsification of the documents and the use of such documents may be subject to criminal prosecution.

Apart from the visa fee, VFS service charge of the equivalent of 33 Euros +70 Euros of transfer documents from Tashkent to Astana and back, inclusive of VAT per application will be levied for applicants applying at the visa application centre. This is applicable for all categories of visa applications.

The customer for a multiple-entry visa must have travel health-insurance policy that covers the period of the first visit to Croatia.

- Proof of residence for nationals other than Kazakhstan: a photocopy of the stay permit;

- Proof of the purpose of stay in Croatia:
- document from medical institution confirming necessity for medical care in that institution and proof of sufficient financial means to pay for the treatment;
- Letter of Guarantee by Legal Person: in original or copy if the original is deposited at the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs in Croatia; with the Letter of Guarantee, the guarantor shall enclose a proof of solvency (BON 1 or BON 2 Forms, or a confirmation of the Commercial Court that it is not in liquidation etc.); the customer shall be handed a photocopy of the Letter of Guarantee.

The healthcare institution’s certificate confirming the admission of the patient and treatment in that institution, proof of treatment payment, or evidence of possession of sufficient means for medical treatment shall be provided.

Long stay visa (D visa)
ISSUING OF LONG-TERM VISAS (TYPE D) FOR THE REPUBLIC OF CROATIA
Aliens Act (Official Gazette, No. 133/20), in force since 1 January 2021, introduces national long-term visa (type D) into the Croatian legislation.
Ordinance on Visas (Official Gazette, No. 109/21), entering into force 1 November 2021, additionally clarifies the procedure and conditions of the issuance of long-term visas to third-country nationals in Croatian Embassies/Consulates.
The long-term visa is an approval to stay in the territory of the Republic of Croatia up to 30 days if a third-country national has been granted temporary stay for the purposes referred to in Article 57 of the Aliens Act:
- family reunification,
- secondary school education,
- university studies,
- research,
- humanitarian grounds,
- life partnership,
- work;
- work of a posted worker;
- stay of long-term residents in another EEA Member State,
- stay of digital nomads,
- other purposes
and is required to hold a short-term visa to enter the Republic of Croatia.
Visa type D substitutes the procedure of short-term (type C) visa applications of third-country nationals who have been granted temporary stay or issued stay and work permit by the competent Police Directorate/Police Administration.
VISA TYPE D IS ISSUED:
- to third-country nationals who have been granted temporary stay or issued stay and work permit, and are required to hold a short-term visa to enter the Republic of Croatia;
- for maximum 30-days' stay;
- for one (1) or multiple (MULT) entries;
- with the period of validity no longer than six months; long-term visa shall not become valid prior to the beginning of validity of the granted temporary stay or the issued stay and work permit in the Republic of Croatia;
- in a valid travel document in the form of the sticker also used for the issuance of visas type C; the letter “D” is entered into the category “Type of visa”.
The procedure of issuance of long-term visas is identical to the procedure employed until now for the issuance of short-term visas to third-country nationals who have been granted temporary stay or issued stay and work permit by the competent Police Directorate/Police Administration.
A LONG-TERM VISA APPLICATION SHALL BE CONSIDERED ADMISSIBLE IF:
- it was submitted no sooner than two months before and no later than two months after the beginning of validity of temporary stay or the issued stay and work permit in the Republic of Croatia
- it was submitted on a prescribed form
- a travel document is presented along with the application with validity at least three months longer than the validity of the granted temporary stay
- it includes a photograph
- the third-country national has been granted temporary stay or issued a stay and work permit in the Republic of Croatia
- the prescribed administrative fee has been paid (700,00 HRK / 93 EUR / 106 USD)
If the above conditions are not fulfilled, long-term visa application shall be considered inadmissible, all documents enclosed shall be returned to the applicant, and the amount of administrative fee paid shall be refunded.
WHEN APPLYING FOR A LONG-TERM VISA, THE APPLICANT IS OBLIGED TO SUBMIT:
- filled in and personally signed prescribed long-term visa (type D) application form;
- valid travel document with at least two empty pages, issued within the past ten years, with validity at least three months longer than the validity of the granted temporary stay or issued stay and work permit;
- a photograph of identical characteristics to the one submitted with the application for short-term visas;
- proof of granted temporary stay or issued stay and work permit in the Republic of Croatia;
- proof of means of transportation;
- proof of travel health insurance, if applicable;
- proof of payment of the administrative fee (700,00 HRK / 93 EUR / 106 USD).
The applicants will be able to fill in the online application form on the link: www.crovisa.mvep.hr. The corresponding purpose will be added to the application.
If visa type D is refused, the decision on refusal is delivered to the applicant on the prescribed form.
The following categories are exempted from paying the visa fee for the long-term visa: children up to 12 years of age, third-country nationals who have been granted residence for the purpose of family joining with a Croatian citizen (spouse or children), third country nationals who have been granted residence for the purpose of: high-school education, university education, research, and humanitarian reasons.
The applicants have 15 days to file a written complaint in our Embassy if they are not content with the outcome of their respective visa application. The fee for filing a complaint amounts to 43 EUR. In case of a received complaint, the applicant will continue to communicate directly with the Embassy.
In case of an incomplete visa application, you have 7 days during which they either have to deliver the required documents or contact the Embassy to schedule an informative talk.
If you want to withdraw your application, you have to notify the Embassy directly and in written form, and state the reason for withdrawing their application.
Students travelling to Croating for exchange programmes within the scope of Eramus programme should still apply for a short-term visa C (the new forms are also in the attachment).
