Overview
If you wish to travel to New Zealand as a tourist, to see family and friends, or to do business you may need to apply for a visitor’s visa. Visit the INZ website for details.
Taiwanese passport holders travelling to New Zealand for less than three months on business, as tourists, to visit friends or relatives or for short-term study under three months, are not required to apply for a visa before they travel.

Taiwanese applicants visiting New Zealand for 3 months or less do not need to apply for a visitor visa prior to departure.
To apply for a Visa to New Zealand, you would need to pay for the Visa Fee and the VFS Global Service Fee.
The Visa Fees, VFS Global Service Fee are applicable per application. The visa fee can be paid together or separately as per applicant’s requirements.

Immigration New Zealand (INZ) has introduced new, stricter quality requirements for photographs accompanying visa applications. The new requirements, similar to passport photos, are needed to support a new immigration identity management system that improves detection of people trying to commit identity fraud. INZ recommends that visa applicants submit photos taken by a professional photographer or a business set up to take passport photos. The detailed new Acceptable Photo requirements are available on the INZ website. The website also provides guidance on how to respond to specific error messages. (Note: the INZ Immigration Contact Centre will not be able to help resolve photo upload errors if applying through Immigration ONLINE).Two passport sized photographs of the applicant’s head and shoulders taken within the last six months.

Resident Visa

Overview
Skilled Migrant Category
Applicants interested in applying for residence under the Skilled Migrant Category can complete an Expression of Interest (EOI). This can be done online or manually. The New Zealand Visa Application Centre in Taipei does not accept the EOI or any resulting Skilled Migrant application.

Family CategoriesFrom 1 September all residence applications previously processed in Bangkok will be processed by an office in NZ. From this date customers will be required to send the application directly to the NZ office.

Investors
People wishing to invest funds in a business and live in New Zealand can apply for residence under our Investor/Investor Plus policies, or a visitor's visa valid for up to two years under our Temporary Retirement Category. The New Zealand Visa Application Centre in Taipei does not accept the Investors Migrant application.
Entrepreneurs
Experienced business people wishing to purchase or establish a business in New Zealand can apply for a work visa under our Long Term Business Visa/Permit Category and then apply for residence under the Entrepreneur/Entrepreneur Plus policies.The New Zealand Visa Application Centre in Taipei does not accept the Entrepreneurs Migrant application.

NZeTA (New Zealand Electronic Travel Authority)

Overview
From 1 October 2019, some international visitors and transit passengers must have an NZeTA (New Zealand Electronic Travel Authority) before travelling to New Zealand.
The NZeTA is a new border security measure being introduced by the New Zealand Government on 1st October 2019. Some travellers who are eligible to travel to New Zealand without a visa will now be required to hold an NZeTA before their travel to New Zealand. The NZeTA is not a visa and doesn’t guarantee entry to New Zealand. On arrival in New Zealand, travellers must still meet all existing entry requirements, such as holding an onward travel ticket, being a bona fide visitor and being in good health.

Transfer Or Confirmation Of a Visa
If you want to transfer your visa from an expired, lost or damaged passport to a new passport, or if you want confirmation of your residence status or you were granted a residence permit under the Immigration Act 1987 & wish to have your application endorsed with a residence class visa please use this form.
