- Category M (Mass Media) to work as a film-producer, journalist or reporter
- Category ED (Education) to study, to come on a work study tour or observation tour , to participate in projects or seminars , to attend a conference or training course , to study as a foreign Buddhist monk
- Category RS (Research) to conduct scientific research or training or teaching in a research institute
- Category R, R-A (Religion) to perform missionary work or other religious activities with the concurrence of the Thai Ministries or Government Departments concerned
- Category O (Family member/dependant) to stay with family members as dependants.
- Category O, O-A (Retirement) to stay after retired age (50 years old or above).
- Category O (Married With Thai Citizen) to stay with spouse as he/she married to Thai citizen.
- Category O (Working with NGO or public charity organization to work with NGO or Public Charity Organization.
- Category O (Medical Treatment) to stay under purpose of long term medical treatment.

Visa Fees & Service Charges
Visa Category Fee Validity of Visa Validity of Stay Non-Immigrant Visa (Single Entry) INR 4,000 3 Months Permitted to stay for a period not exceeding 90 Days unless otherwise instructed by the Immigration Bureau. Non-Immigrant Visa (Multiple Entry) INR 10,000 6 Months or 1 Year Permitted to stay for a period not exceeding 90 Days (each entry) unless otherwise instructed by the Immigration Bureau. Non-Immigrant Visa (Multiple Entry) only for Business INR 20,000 3 Years Permitted to stay for a period not exceeding 90 Days (each entry) unless otherwise instructed by the Immigration Bureau. - Applicant applying at Delhi / Chandigarh / Jalandhar / Jaipur / Lucknow application centres. The visa fee is payable by demand draft favoring “Royal Thai Embassy” payable at New Delhi.

Note: The acceptable method of payment by demand draft is in Indian Rupees only.
Service Charges: - North India
- Applicant applying in Delhi / Chandigarh / Jalandhar / Jaipur / Lucknow needs to pay INR500/- service charges in addition to the Visa Fees (Including all taxes)
Kindly Note: -
- All the charges are non-refundable, even if the application is refused or withdrawn.
- Applicants are requested to collect appropriate receipts for all the payments.

NOTE:
Hotel Reservations –
- The rest of the stay in Thailand reservation documents should be a confirmation from the hotel and not from the travel agency.
- Hotel reservation confirmation should be 1 page (PDF print in colour). Please refrain from submitting a hotel reservation printout from the email.
- Check-in/out date is in sync with the date of travel.
- The hotel reservation confirmation must be printed in colour.
Flight Tickets –
- Name of the applicant on the tickets is in accordance with the applicant's name.
- The ticket should be confirmed and submit a colour copy of the e-ticket, the travel agent booking document will not be considered.
Bank Statement –
- The last transaction shown in the bank statement should not be older than 7 days from the date of submission.
- Name and digits must be clear.
- The bank statement must show the final amount for every transaction.
- Bank statements should be attested by the bank, in case the statement has page numbers mentioned attestation on the first and last page, if the page numbers are missing attestation from the bank is required on all pages.
- If the bank statement document is a copy of the bank passbook, it needs to be attested by the bank and the original passbook needs to be submitted with the visa application.
- Bank statement with sufficient balance and amount maintenance of the applicant. It should be as mentioned on the visa application checklist for which the applicant has applied.
Others –
- Original certificates need to be attached along with the application and to be returned together with the passport.
- For Indian married with Thai national- Only marriage under Special Marriage Act or Thai law is accepted.
- For family or dependent visas, cover letters should be submitted with valid IDs. Original cover letter from spouse or parents will only be accepted. This is to avoid a forged signature.
- Employment Visa- Applicants need to submit all recommendation, education, and work experience documents.
- In case of sponsorship, it should be from a direct family member (i.e. spouses, parents, children, siblings from the same parents) and proof of relationship needs to be attached. Example- If a sibling is a sponsor then their passport copy having the same parents' name as of applicant will stand as proof, in the case of parents, birth certificate or parents' name on the back of passport will stand as proof.
- If the applicant is attaching a cover letter for something, they need to provide the evidence for the same.
- Applicants are requested to submit original documents as mentioned in the checklist e.g. an original invitation letter from the company for non-B visa applicants.
- Please note that for non-B visa applications, the company documents must be signed by the authorized person which shall be mentioned on the company affidavit. In case the authorized person has given the power to another person, a PoA must also be submitted.
- Please make sure that all additional documents requested are submitted when re-submitting.
- Please note that failure to follow the above mentioned guidelines may result in the delay of visa issuance.

Two recent (not older than 3 months) color photographs taken against a white (clothes color should be different from background) so that your features are clearly distinguishable.
A person who always wears white for religious purpose, the photographs can be taken against a light blue background.
The Royal Thai Embassy has full right to ask applicant to change the photo due to the followings…
- Photo which applicant’s face and eyes are not in direct position to the camera:
- Photo with background color different from the above mentioned.
- Photo which is obviously cut or crop from other photo.
- Photo with teeth visible.
- Photo with face visible less than 70-80%.

The photographs should be clear and of good quality, and should be printed on normal photographic paper. Please note that we will be unable to accept photographs that do not meet these specifications.
- Photo which the border between applicant’s body and background is unclear no matter what reason (scanning, printer, etc.
- Photo which is printed by printer which generates dots or lines on the paper and make photo bad quality.
- Your full face should be visible. The photograph should be taken without sunglasses and without a hat or any other head covering, unless you wear such an item because of your religious beliefs or ethnic background.
Kindly Note: - The Royal Thai Embassy has full right to ask applicant to change photo if the above specifications not met.

Overview
This type of visa is designed for applicants who wish to enter the Kingdom for purposes of conduct business, business meeting or training.
General
- Applicants must submit all documents in accordance with a certain checklist especially the employment background and educational documents of the non-B visa applicant.
- Signature on the application form and the checklist match with the applicant's signature.
Hotel reservations
- The rest of the stay in Thailand reservation documents should be a confirmation from the hotel and not from the travel agency.
- Hotel reservation confirmation should be 1 page (PDF print in colour). Please refrain from submitting a hotel reservation printout from the email.
- Check-in/out date is in sync with the date of travel.
- The hotel reservation confirmation must be printed in colour.

- If the bank statement document is a copy of the bank passbook, it needs to be attested by the bank and the original passbook needs to be submitted with the visa application.
- Bank statement with sufficient balance and amount maintenance of the applicant. It should be as mentioned on the visa application checklist for which the applicant has applied.
Others –
- Family Visa- Submission of birth certificate and marriage certificate should be attested by MEA, the marriage certificate should be registered under the laws and no affidavits will be accepted, Parents visa should be valid and have a valid work visa.
- Original certificates need to be attached along with the application and to be returned together with the passport.
- For Indian married with Thai national- Only marriage under Special Marriage Act or Thai law is accepted.
- For family or dependent visas, cover letters should be submitted with valid IDs. Original cover letter from spouse or parents will only be accepted. This is to avoid a forged signature.
- Employment Visa- Applicants need to submit all recommendation, education, and work experience documents.
- In case of sponsorship, it should be from a direct family member (i.e. spouses, parents, children, siblings from the same parents) and proof of relationship needs to be attached. Example- If a sibling is a sponsor then their passport copy having the same parents' name as of applicant will stand as proof, in the case of parents, birth certificate or parents' name on the back of passport will stand as proof.
- If the applicant is attaching a cover letter for something, they need to provide the evidence for the same.
- Applicants are requested to submit original documents as mentioned in the checklist e.g. an original invitation letter from the company for non-B visa applicants.
- Please note that for non-B visa applications, the company documents must be signed by the authorized person which shall be mentioned on the company affidavit. In case the authorized person has given the power to another person, a PoA must also be submitted.

Overview
This type of visa is designed for applicants who wish to enter the Kingdom to perform official duties.
General
- Applicants must submit all documents in accordance with a certain checklist especially the employment background and educational documents of the non-B visa applicant.
- Signature on the application form and the checklist match with the applicant's signature.
Hotel reservations
- The rest of the stay in Thailand reservation documents should be a confirmation from the hotel and not from the travel agency.
- Hotel reservation confirmation should be 1 page (PDF print in colour). Please refrain from submitting a hotel reservation printout from the email.
- Check-in/out date is in sync with the date of travel.
- The hotel reservation confirmation must be printed in colour.

Overview
This type of visa is designed for applicants who wish to enter the Kingdom to work as a film-producer, journalist or reporter, Media who is assigned by his/her news agency to work for long term in Thailand. Media who is going to work for temporary or short term need to apply for non-immigrant type B.
General
- Applicants must submit all documents in accordance with a certain checklist especially the employment background and educational documents of the non-B visa applicant.
- Signature on the application form and the checklist match with the applicant's signature.
Hotel reservations
- The rest of the stay in Thailand reservation documents should be a confirmation from the hotel and not from the travel agency.
- Hotel reservation confirmation should be 1 page (PDF print in colour). Please refrain from submitting a hotel reservation printout from the email.
- Check-in/out date is in sync with the date of travel.
- The hotel reservation confirmation must be printed in colour.
Flight Tickets
- Name of the applicant on the tickets is in accordance with the applicant's name.
- The ticket should be confirmed and submit a colour copy of the e-ticket, the travel agent booking document will not be considered.
Bank Statement
- The last transaction shown in the bank statement should not be older than 7 days from the date of submission.
- Name and digits must be clear.
- The bank statement must show the final amount for every transaction.
- Bank statements should be attested by the bank, in case the statement has page numbers mentioned attestation on the first and last page, if the page numbers are missing attestation from the bank is required on all pages.
- If the bank statement document is a copy of the bank passbook, it needs to be attested by the bank and the original passbook needs to be submitted with the visa application.
- Bank statement with sufficient balance and amount maintenance of the applicant. It should be as mentioned on the visa application checklist for which the applicant has applied.
Others.
- Family Visa- Submission of birth certificate and marriage certificate should be attested by MEA, the marriage certificate should be registered under the laws and no affidavits will be accepted, Parents visa should be valid and have a valid work visa.
Original certificates need to be attached along with the application and to be returned together with the passport. - For Indian married with Thai national- Only marriage under Special Marriage Act or Thai law is accepted.
- For family or dependent visas, cover letters should be submitted with valid IDs. Original cover letter from spouse or parents will only be accepted. This is to avoid a forged signature.
- Employment Visa- Applicants need to submit all recommendation, education, and work experience documents.
- In case of sponsorship, it should be from a direct family member (i.e. spouses, parents, children, siblings from the same parents) and proof of relationship needs to be attached. Example- If a sibling is a sponsor then their passport copy having the same parents' name as of applicant will stand as proof, in the case of parents, birth certificate or parents' name on the back of passport will stand as proof.
- If the applicant is attaching a cover letter for something, they need to provide the evidence for the same.
- Applicants are requested to submit original documents as mentioned in the checklist e.g. an original invitation letter from the company for non-B visa applicants.
- Please note that for non-B visa applications, the company documents must be signed by the authorized person which shall be mentioned on the company affidavit. In case the authorized person has given the power to another person, a PoA must also be submitted.
- Please make sure that all additional documents requested are submitted when re-submitting.

- Passport or travel document with validity not less than 6 months TWO OPPOSITE BLANK PAGES.
- Visa Application Form completely filled out
- Two recent photographs of the applicant (3.5 X 4.5 cm) against white background (please check details under “Photo Specification”)
- Type M can be issued only when the Embassy receive the authorization from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Bangkok. The media, whose authorization has already been granted from Bangkok, please convey the authorization number to the Embassy and can apply for visa.
- Applicant needs to contact the Embassy to receive the guidance and to be interviewed, wait for the authorization, and apply after the authorization is granted.

A person who always wears white for religious purpose, the photographs can be taken against a light blue background.
The Royal Thai Embassy has full right to ask applicant to change the photo due to the followings;
- Photo which applicant’s face and eyes are not in direct position to the camera.
- Photo with background color different from the above mentioned.
- Photo which is obviously cut or crop from other photo.
- Photo with teeth visible.
- Photo with face visible less than 70-80%.

The photographs should be clear and of good quality, and should be printed on normal photographic paper. Please note that we will be unable to accept photographs that do not meet these specifications.
- Photo which the border between applicant’s body and background is unclear no matter what reason (scanning, printer, etc.
- Photo which is printed by printer which generates dots or lines on the paper and make photo bad quality.
- Your full face should be visible. The photograph should be taken without sunglasses and without a hat or any other head covering, unless you wear such an item because of your religious beliefs or ethnic background.

Overview
This type of visa is designed for applicants who wish to enter the Kingdom to perform missionary work or other religious activities with the concurrence of the Thai Ministries or Government Departments concerned.
General
- Applicants must submit all documents in accordance with a certain checklist especially the employment background and educational documents of the non-B visa applicant.
- Signature on the application form and the checklist match with the applicant's signature.
Hotel reservations
- The rest of the stay in Thailand reservation documents should be a confirmation from the hotel and not from the travel agency.
- Hotel reservation confirmation should be 1 page (PDF print in colour). Please refrain from submitting a hotel reservation printout from the email.
- Check-in/out date is in sync with the date of travel.
- The hotel reservation confirmation must be printed in colour.
Flight Tickets
- Name of the applicant on the tickets is in accordance with the applicant's name.
- The ticket should be confirmed and submit a colour copy of the e-ticket, the travel agent booking document will not be considered.
Bank Statement
- The last transaction shown in the bank statement should not be older than 7 days from the date of submission.
- Name and digits must be clear.
- The bank statement must show the final amount for every transaction.
- Bank statements should be attested by the bank, in case the statement has page numbers mentioned attestation on the first and last page, if the page numbers are missing attestation from the bank is required on all pages.
- If the bank statement document is a copy of the bank passbook, it needs to be attested by the bank and the original passbook needs to be submitted with the visa application.
- Bank statement with sufficient balance and amount maintenance of the applicant. It should be as mentioned on the visa application checklist for which the applicant has applied.
Others.
- Family Visa- Submission of birth certificate and marriage certificate should be attested by MEA, the marriage certificate should be registered under the laws and no affidavits will be accepted, Parents visa should be valid and have a valid work visa.
Original certificates need to be attached along with the application and to be returned together with the passport. - For Indian married with Thai national- Only marriage under Special Marriage Act or Thai law is accepted.
- For family or dependent visas, cover letters should be submitted with valid IDs. Original cover letter from spouse or parents will only be accepted. This is to avoid a forged signature.
- Employment Visa- Applicants need to submit all recommendation, education, and work experience documents.
- In case of sponsorship, it should be from a direct family member (i.e. spouses, parents, children, siblings from the same parents) and proof of relationship needs to be attached. Example- If a sibling is a sponsor then their passport copy having the same parents' name as of applicant will stand as proof, in the case of parents, birth certificate or parents' name on the back of passport will stand as proof.
- If the applicant is attaching a cover letter for something, they need to provide the evidence for the same.
- Applicants are requested to submit original documents as mentioned in the checklist e.g. an original invitation letter from the company for non-B visa applicants.
- Please note that for non-B visa applications, the company documents must be signed by the authorized person which shall be mentioned on the company affidavit. In case the authorized person has given the power to another person, a PoA must also be submitted.
- Please make sure that all additional documents requested are submitted when re-submitting.

Overview
This type of visa is designed for applicants who wish to enter the Kingdom to stay in Thailand after retired age (50 years old or above).
General
- Applicants must submit all documents in accordance with a certain checklist especially the employment background and educational documents of the non-B visa applicant.
- Signature on the application form and the checklist match with the applicant's signature.
Hotel reservations
- The rest of the stay in Thailand reservation documents should be a confirmation from the hotel and not from the travel agency.
- Hotel reservation confirmation should be 1 page (PDF print in colour). Please refrain from submitting a hotel reservation printout from the email.
- Check-in/out date is in sync with the date of travel.
- The hotel reservation confirmation must be printed in colour.
Flight Tickets
- Name of the applicant on the tickets is in accordance with the applicant's name.
- The ticket should be confirmed and submit a colour copy of the e-ticket, the travel agent booking document will not be considered.
Bank Statement
- The last transaction shown in the bank statement should not be older than 7 days from the date of submission.
- Name and digits must be clear.
- The bank statement must show the final amount for every transaction.
- Bank statements should be attested by the bank, in case the statement has page numbers mentioned attestation on the first and last page, if the page numbers are missing attestation from the bank is required on all pages.
- If the bank statement document is a copy of the bank passbook, it needs to be attested by the bank and the original passbook needs to be submitted with the visa application.
- Bank statement with sufficient balance and amount maintenance of the applicant. It should be as mentioned on the visa application checklist for which the applicant has applied.
Others.
- Family Visa- Submission of birth certificate and marriage certificate should be attested by MEA, the marriage certificate should be registered under the laws and no affidavits will be accepted, Parents visa should be valid and have a valid work visa.
Original certificates need to be attached along with the application and to be returned together with the passport. - For Indian married with Thai national- Only marriage under Special Marriage Act or Thai law is accepted.
- For family or dependent visas, cover letters should be submitted with valid IDs. Original cover letter from spouse or parents will only be accepted. This is to avoid a forged signature.
- Employment Visa- Applicants need to submit all recommendation, education, and work experience documents.
- In case of sponsorship, it should be from a direct family member (i.e. spouses, parents, children, siblings from the same parents) and proof of relationship needs to be attached. Example- If a sibling is a sponsor then their passport copy having the same parents' name as of applicant will stand as proof, in the case of parents, birth certificate or parents' name on the back of passport will stand as proof.
- If the applicant is attaching a cover letter for something, they need to provide the evidence for the same.
- Applicants are requested to submit original documents as mentioned in the checklist e.g. an original invitation letter from the company for non-B visa applicants.
- Please note that for non-B visa applications, the company documents must be signed by the authorized person which shall be mentioned on the company affidavit. In case the authorized person has given the power to another person, a PoA must also be submitted.
- Please make sure that all additional documents requested are submitted when re-submitting.

A person who always wears white for religious purpose, the photographs can be taken against a light blue background.
The Royal Thai Embassy has full right to ask applicant to change the photo due to the followings;
- Photo which applicant’s face and eyes are not in direct position to the camera.
- Photo with background color different from the above mentioned.
- Photo which is obviously cut or crop from other photo.
- Photo with teeth visible.
- Photo with face visible less than 70-80%.

The photographs should be clear and of good quality, and should be printed on normal photographic paper. Please note that we will be unable to accept photographs that do not meet these specifications.

- The bank statement must show the final amount for every transaction.
- Bank statements should be attested by the bank, in case the statement has page numbers mentioned attestation on the first and last page, if the page numbers are missing attestation from the bank is required on all pages.
- If the bank statement document is a copy of the bank passbook, it needs to be attested by the bank and the original passbook needs to be submitted with the visa application.
- Bank statement with sufficient balance and amount maintenance of the applicant. It should be as mentioned on the visa application checklist for which the applicant has applied.
Others.
- Family Visa- Submission of birth certificate and marriage certificate should be attested by MEA, the marriage certificate should be registered under the laws and no affidavits will be accepted, Parents visa should be valid and have a valid work visa.
Original certificates need to be attached along with the application and to be returned together with the passport. - For Indian married with Thai national- Only marriage under Special Marriage Act or Thai law is accepted.
- For family or dependent visas, cover letters should be submitted with valid IDs. Original cover letter from spouse or parents will only be accepted. This is to avoid a forged signature.
- Employment Visa- Applicants need to submit all recommendation, education, and work experience documents.
- In case of sponsorship, it should be from a direct family member (i.e. spouses, parents, children, siblings from the same parents) and proof of relationship needs to be attached. Example- If a sibling is a sponsor then their passport copy having the same parents' name as of applicant will stand as proof, in the case of parents, birth certificate or parents' name on the back of passport will stand as proof.
- If the applicant is attaching a cover letter for something, they need to provide the evidence for the same.
- Applicants are requested to submit original documents as mentioned in the checklist e.g. an original invitation letter from the company for non-B visa applicants.
- Please note that for non-B visa applications, the company documents must be signed by the authorized person which shall be mentioned on the company affidavit. In case the authorized person has given the power to another person, a PoA must also be submitted.
- Please make sure that all additional documents requested are submitted when re-submitting.

Overview
This type of visa is designed for applicants who wish to enter the Kingdom under purpose of long term medical treatment.
General
- Applicants must submit all documents in accordance with a certain checklist especially the employment background and educational documents of the non-B visa applicant.
- Signature on the application form and the checklist match with the applicant's signature.
Hotel reservations
- The rest of the stay in Thailand reservation documents should be a confirmation from the hotel and not from the travel agency.
- Hotel reservation confirmation should be 1 page (PDF print in colour). Please refrain from submitting a hotel reservation printout from the email.
- Check-in/out date is in sync with the date of travel.
- The hotel reservation confirmation must be printed in colour.
Flight Tickets
- Name of the applicant on the tickets is in accordance with the applicant's name.
- The ticket should be confirmed and submit a colour copy of the e-ticket, the travel agent booking document will not be considered.
Bank Statement
- The last transaction shown in the bank statement should not be older than 7 days from the date of submission.
- Name and digits must be clear.
- The bank statement must show the final amount for every transaction.

Flight Tickets –

- Family Visa- Submission of birth certificate and marriage certificate should be attested by MEA, the marriage certificate should be registered under the laws and no affidavits will be accepted, Parents visa should be valid and have a valid work visa.
Original certificates need to be attached along with the application and to be returned together with the passport. - For Indian married with Thai national- Only marriage under Special Marriage Act or Thai law is accepted.
- For family or dependent visas, cover letters should be submitted with valid IDs. Original cover letter from spouse or parents will only be accepted. This is to avoid a forged signature.
- Employment Visa- Applicants need to submit all recommendation, education, and work experience documents.
- In case of sponsorship, it should be from a direct family member (i.e. spouses, parents, children, siblings from the same parents) and proof of relationship needs to be attached. Example- If a sibling is a sponsor then their passport copy having the same parents' name as of applicant will stand as proof, in the case of parents, birth certificate or parents' name on the back of passport will stand as proof.
- If the applicant is attaching a cover letter for something, they need to provide the evidence for the same.
- Applicants are requested to submit original documents as mentioned in the checklist e.g. an original invitation letter from the company for non-B visa applicants.

Two recent (not older than 3 months) color photographs taken against a white (clothes color should be different from background) so that your features are clearly distinguishable.
A person who always wears white for religious purpose, the photographs can be taken against a light blue background.
The Royal Thai Embassy has full right to ask applicant to change the photo due to the followings;
- Photo which applicant’s face and eyes are not in direct position to the camera.
- Photo with background color different from the above mentioned.
- Photo which is obviously cut or crop from other photo.
- Photo with teeth visible.
- Photo with face visible less than 70-80%.

NON IMMIGRANT VISA CATEGORY 'B' FOR 3 YEARS

Overview
This type of visa is designed for applicants who wish to enter the Kingdom for purposes of conduct business, business meeting or training.
Foreign citizen who wished to visit Thailand for business purpose may apply for a three year Non-Immigrant Visa ’B’. This type of visa may be issued to businessman for multiple-entries and is valid for 3 years. It allows holder to visit Thailand as often as required for as long as visa remains valid and allows holder to stay in Thailand for a period of not exceeding 90 days during each visit. Employment of any kind is strictly prohibited for holder of such visit visa.
General
- Applicants must submit all documents in accordance with a certain checklist especially the employment background and educational documents of the non-B visa applicant.
- Signature on the application form and the checklist match with the applicant's signature.
