Overview

48 Hours Visa: This Visa is valid only for 48 hours stay (As per flight schedule - Arrival/departure time in Dubai). This is Single Entry visa. Ideal for travellers to the UAE who plan to stay for a period of less than 48 Hours. This type of Visa is preferred by travellers having business meetings or taking stopovers en route to their onward journey. The entry validity of the visa is for 30 days from the date of issue.

Mandatory Documents

• Visa Application form duly filled*
• Confirmed Onward Emirates ticket, highlighting the applicant's name, entry and exit from the UAE in yellow.
• One coloured recent passport-size photograph with white background, front facing.
• Coloured photocopy of the Passport Front/External Cover page and Bio page (Valid for minimum period of 6 months at the time of travel). Passports containing special characters such as brackets in the name will not be accepted and must be amended prior to visa submission.
• Applicants must provide a valid visa for the destination country travelling to or arriving from the UAE.
• A valid confirmed Hotel booking with Applicant’s name and check-in/out dates highlighted in yellow (Check-in, Check-out dates on the hotel confirmation must match the dates on flight tickets).
• For individual applicants aged between 18 and 41 years, or those traveling with family, must provide a 6-month COLOURED bank statement showing a minimum closing balance of USD 4,000 for last 2 months under single bank account in applicants’ name. Highlight the balance amount in yellow along with the name of the applicant.
• Coloured photocopy of a valid visa or residence proof if the Nationality is different from the Country of Residence.

Eligibility Criteria

Note: Applicant can qualify from any one of the below criteria for Dubai visa application.

Criteria I: Travel Record

Applicants who have travelled at least once in the last 3 years or has a valid visa for countries like USA, UK, Schengen countries, European Union, Australia, New Zealand, Russia, Canada and Japan.

Supporting documents required:

• Pages in the Previous / Current passport exhibiting the evidence of the travel / visa stamped.

Criteria II: Financial Records

Applicants not qualifying as per Criteria I (Travel Record) are required to submit proof of minimum gross income from Business and Professionals USD 12000 per annum Or Employees should exceed USD 650 per month. Businessmen and Professionals need to submit copies of bank statements of last 06 months along with originals for verification, with a company covering letter stating the purpose of visit.

Employed individuals need to submit salary slips of last 03 months and company covering letter confirming the employment.

Or

Security Deposit USD 1500 equivalent to LKR@Central Bank of Sri Lanka rate (Refundable upon return and after producing the entry & exit stamp in UAE).

Criteria III: Invitation from immediate family member residing in UAE on family status

Supporting documents required:

• Valid tenancy contract /Ejari or title deed of the host. **Host should have an apartment with two or more bedrooms.
• Relationship with the Host.
• UAE resident card of the Host.

Newly Married Couple:

In case of the spouse’s name not endorsed on the passport;

Supporting documents required:

• Marriage Certificate / Notarised Affidavit.
• Newly married couples traveling immediately after marriage are required to submit NOC from parents with photo id proof, Wedding card and Marriage photograph of the couple.

Important Information:

• Selection / determination of a visa category are based on Emirates ticket itinerary.
• Emirates regret its inability to sponsor unaccompanied minors and students. Dubai immigration will consider applications from minors and students only if they are travelling with parents.

Overview

96 Hours Visa: This Visa is valid only for 96 hours and is ideal for travellers to the UAE who plan to stay for a period of less than 4 days. This type of Visa is preferred by travellers having business meetings or taking stopovers en route to their onward journey. Visa is valid for 30 days from the date of issue.

• Confirmed onward/return ticket copy of Emirates airline highlighting the applicant's name, entry and exit from the UAE in yellow.
• One coloured recent passport-size photograph with white background, front facing.

Short Term Visit Single Entry – (Tourist): The entry validity for all types of tourist visa is 58 days from the date of issue (Valid until date mentioned on visa). After entry in Dubai stay validity of visa can be extended thrice for 30days each. Extension fee is AED 850 each time.

90 Days Visit Visa : This Visa is valid for 90 days availed by travellers having a longer stay in UAE. This type of Visa is preferred by travellers going to UAE for holidays, visit family / friends or for business trainings etc. The entry validity for all types of tourist visa is 58 days from the date of issue (Valid untill date mentioned on visa). After entry in Dubai stay validity of visa can be extended twice with first extension allowed for 30 days and second extension for 20 days. Extension fee is AED 850 each time.

Official Tour for Meetings / Seminars / Exhibitions: Passenger’s Passport copy / Confirmed EK Ticket / Hotel confirmation / Company covering letter / Host company invitation letter or Host Resident permit along with the passport copy.

Personal : ( If the purpose of visit is to meet family or close relatives ). Passport copy / Confirm EK Ticket / Host passport copy / Host Resident page / Host covering letter or guarantee letter / Relationship proof.

Tourism or property: Passport copy / Confirmed EK Ticket / Confirm Hotel booking or Property Tenancy contract & Property papers.

For all unaccompanied students and young women below the age of 25 years preapproval is required.

Criteria IV: Travel Agent Guarantee

Travel agents can give an indemnity letter on their company letterhead (as per format provided) to guarantee that their customers would return back as per the ticket itinerary. They would be liable to pay the penalty in case of applicant overstays in UAE.

B2B Agents falling under below two categories will be required to submit Bank draft favouring: VFS Lanka Pvt Ltd for the amount of USD 1500 as a guarantee which shall be returned back once the applicant exit UAE and entry exit stamp shared with VFS

• Travel agents with a history of customers who have overstayed their visas till date.
• Travel agents who are not members of TAASL (Travel Agents Association of Sri Lanka) and IATA

Additional documents required in below specific circumstances

• Student Traveling without Parents – NOC letter from parents. Photo identity of Parents / Guardian. (/Passport/Driving License), Financial Documents of Parents, Student ID card and Hotel / Relative address details in UAE.
• Hall ticket copy specifying the date and venue in case the applicant is appearing for an exam.
• Newly Married Couple: ***In case of the spouse name not endorsed on the passport. Marriage Certificate / Notarized Affidavit.

• Emirates Airline confirmed Onward or Return ticket
• Copy of National ID for Ivory Coast nationals; for other Nationals Copy of Work / Residence Permit in Ivory Coast or Dependent Pass.

HOW TO APPLY

Now that you are ready with all your documents, Visa Application Form and other requirements, applicants can now visit the nearest visa application centreto apply for their visa to UAE.

Alternatively the applicants can click hereto submit their visa application form and upload their documents online. The payment can then be made at the nearest Visa Application Centre. This option can be used only if the applicant has a confirmed ticket on Emirates Airlines. Please ensure all original documents are taken to the visa application centre for verification purposes.

Important:

• Ensure coloured photos are as per specifications Size 4.3 cms x 5.5 cms preferably white background.
• Attach all supporting documents required as per checklist. Make sure your application is complete. Incomplete applications are not accepted.

Overview

Multi Entry Short Term Visa - (30 Days): This is a multiple entry visa and the first entry in UAE should be made within validity period of 58 days (valid until date mentioned on visa). With effect from the date of FIRST entry visa is valid for 30 days. Within the period of these 30 days applicant can make multiple entries / exits to / from UAE. However, applicant should make sure his/her last exit from UAE should be on or before 30th day.

After entry in Dubai stay validity of visa can be extended thrice for 30days each. Extension fee is AED 850 each time.

Businessmen and Professionals need to submit copies of bank statements of last 06 months along with originals for verification, with a company covering letter stating the purpose of visit.

Employed individuals need to submit salary slips of last 03 months and company covering letter confirming the employment.

Security Deposit USD 1500 equivalent to LKR@Central Bank of Sri Lanka rate (Refundable upon return and after producing the entry & exit stamp in UAE).

Criteria III: Invitation from immediate family member residing in UAE on family status

Supporting documents required:

• Valid tenancy contract /Ejari or title deed of the host. **Host should have an apartment with two or more bedrooms.
• Relationship with the Host.
• UAE resident card of the Host.

Newly Married Couple:

In case of the spouse’s name not endorsed on the passport;

Supporting documents required:

• Marriage Certificate / Notarised Affidavit.
• Newly married couples traveling immediately after marriage are required to submit NOC from parents with photo id proof, Wedding card and Marriage photograph of the couple.

Overview

Multi Entry Long Term Visa - 60 Days: This is a multiple entry visa and the first entry in UAE should be made within validity period of 58 days (valid until date mentioned on visa). With effect from the date of FIRST entry visa is valid for 60 days. Within the period of these 60 days applicant can make multiple entries / exits to / from UAE. However, applicant should make sure his/her last exit from UAE should be on or before 60th day.

After entry in Dubai stay validity of visa can be extended twice for 30days each. Extension fee is AED 850 each time.

• Confirmed hotel voucher with confirmation number, applicant's name, check-in, check-out dates highlighted in yellow for the entire stay. (Check-in, Check-out dates on the hotel confirmation must match the dates on flight tickets). Note that only up to two hotel bookings are allowed for the entire stay period.
• For individual applicants aged between 18 and 41 years, or those traveling with family, must provide a 6-month COLOURED bank statement showing a minimum closing balance of USD 4,000 for last 2 months under single bank account in applicants’ name. Highlight the balance amount in yellow along with the name of the applicant.
• Coloured photocopy of a valid visa or residence proof if the Nationality is different from the Country of Residence.

Criteria IV: Travel Agent Guarantee

Travel agents can give an indemnity letter on their company letterhead (as per format provided) to guarantee that their customers would return back as per the ticket itinerary. They would be liable to pay the penalty in case of applicant overstays in UAE.

B2B Agents falling under below two categories will be required to submit Bank draft favouring: VFS Lanka Pvt Ltd for the amount of USD 1500 as a guarantee which shall be returned back once the applicant exit UAE and entry exit stamp shared with VFS

• Travel agents with a history of customers who have overstayed their visas till date.
• Travel agents who are not members of TAASL (Travel Agents Association of Sri Lanka) and IATA

Additional documents required in below specific circumstances

• Student Traveling without Parents – NOC letter from parents. Photo identity of Parents / Guardian. (/Passport/Driving License), Financial Documents of Parents, Student ID card and Hotel / Relative address details in UAE.
• Hall ticket copy specifying the date and venue in case the applicant is appearing for an exam.
• Newly Married Couple: ***In case of the spouse name not endorsed on the passport. Marriage Certificate / Notarized Affidavit.

• Original Passport for verification purposes (Must be valid for more than six months)
• Coloured Passport Copies - Photo page, Bio Page and Profession page, expiry and any other special endorsement page

HOW TO APPLY

Now that you are ready with all your documents, Visa Application Form and other requirements, applicants can now visit the nearest visa application centreto apply for their visa to UAE.

Alternatively the applicants can click hereto submit their visa application form and upload their documents online. The payment can then be made at the nearest Visa Application Centre. This option can be used only if the applicant has a confirmed ticket on Emirates Airlines. Please ensure all original documents are taken to the visa application centre for verification purposes.

• Ensure coloured photos are as per specifications Size 4.3 cms x 5.5 cms preferably white background.
• Attach all supporting documents required as per checklist. Make sure your application is complete. Incomplete applications are not accepted.
