Short Term Visa (C - Visa)
Citizens of Turkey who plan to visit Croatia are required to have a visa.
* Citizens of Turkey, holders of special passports, do not need a visa for entering and staying up to 90 days or passing through the territory of the Republic of Croatia.
** Holders of valid regular passports do not need a visa if they are:
- civil crewmembers of Croatian and Turkish civil aircraft, as well as rescue crewmembers;
- crewmembers of Croatian and Turkish aircraft taking part in rescue missions, as well as
rescue crewmembers;
- civil crewmembers on ships.

A short-stay visa (C-visa) allows the visitor to transit through, or stay in the territory of the Republic of Croatia for a maximum of 90 days in any period 180 day-period. It is issued for one, two, or multiple entries for the purpose of transit, tourism, business, private or other purposes. Its validity period depends on the circumstances of the visitor’s travel to Croatia and may not exceed five years.
The visa shall not entitle a visitor to enter the Republic of Croatia.
A foreigner cannot work in Croatia on the basis of a short-term visa.
The following provinces of Turkey are covered by the Visa Applications Centers in Istanbul, Izmir, Antalya, Bursa and Edirne: Edirne, Kırklareli, Tekirdağ, Istanbul, Yalova, Kocaeli, Sakarya, Düzce, Çanakkale, Balıkesir, Antalya, Bursa, Bilecik, Kütahya, Manisa, Izmir, Uşak, Aydın, Denizli, Muğla, Burdur.

A visa is the approval for transit through the territory of the Republic of Croatia or for entering the Republic of Croatia and staying up to three months in each six-month period counting from the date of the first entry.
It is issued for one, two or more entries for transit, tourist, business, private or other purposes.
The possession of a visa does not grant the entry into the Republic of Croatia. Other legal requirements must also be met. Aliens may not work on the territory of the Republic of Croatia based on a visa alone.
Aliens must apply for a visa prior to their entry into the Republic of Croatia, at the Visa Application Centre or the competent diplomatic mission/consular post.
An alien shall apply for the visa personally. Exceptionally, an alien need not file the application personally, but they shall present themselves when called upon by the diplomatic mission/consular post.
A visa application for an alien minor or an alien deprived of their business capacity shall be submitted by their legal representative.
Visa application forms shall be submitted no sooner than three months prior to the date of the intended trip.
Important notes and warnings:
- Please note that you may be required to come for a personal interview with the visa officer at the Embassy of the Republic of Croatia in Ankara prior to a decision being made on your application
- Embassy also reserves the right to ask for additional supporting documents during the visa application process.
- Submitting a visa application, including all the required documents, does not automatically mean that the visa will be issued.
- An issued visa is not a guarantee that a foreign citizen will be permitted to enter the Republic of Croatia. On every crossing of the border, the police may require the foreign citizen to present a photocopy of the Letter of Guarantee in case of both private and business visits, and it is therefore recommendable to carry the Letter of Guarantee, as well as the proof of having sufficient funds, in hand baggage.
- The decision to refuse a visa, indicating reasons for such a decision, shall be delivered to the applicant in a visa refusal/annulment/revocation form.
- The visa application fee is non-refundable once the application has been accepted at the Embassy.
- An Embassy/Consular Post may invite the applicant to an interview; require him/her to submit further documents and/or certified translation as well as the international certification (apostille) of the documents.
- Any falsification of the documents and the use of such documents may be subject to criminal prosecution.

IMPORTANT INFORMATION
The Government of the Republic of Croatia has started implementing Decision 565/2014/EU as of July 22, 2014. All persons holding a valid Schengen visa do not need a visa for Croatia.
Visitors with the following documents:
- 2 or multiple-entry uniform visa (type C) valid in all Schengen area member states;
- A two- or multiple-entry visa with “limited territorial validity” (LTV visa) valid in the territory of a member state that recognizes one or more of the Schengen countries with a travel document that is not recognized by one or more of the Schengen countries;
- Long-term type D visa issued by a Schengen country for stays exceeding 3 months;
- a residence permit issued by a member state of the Schengen area;
No visa is required for transit to the Republic of Croatia or for stays not exceeding 90 days within 180 days.

Information on persons holding a “Residence card of a family member of a European Union citizen”:
Family members of an EU Member State citizen or EEC citizen holding a valid “Residence card of a family member of an EU Member State citizen” may travel to Croatia without a visa if they are traveling with or will join the EU Member State citizen or EEC citizen. If the family member of the EU Member State citizen or EEC citizen does not have this card, he/she needs to apply for a (free) Croatian visa.
A short-term visa (C visa) allows transit through the territory of the Republic of Croatia or a maximum stay of 90 days within 180 days. This visa is valid for single, double or multiple entry transit, tourist, business, private visit or other types of visa. The validity period of the visa depends on the visitor's stay in Croatia and does not exceed 5 years.
Foreign nationals may not work in Croatia with a short-term (C visa) visa.
There is no jurisdiction in the offices of the Consulate in Istanbul (Izmir, Bursa, Antalya and Altunizade).

- Representatives of non-profit organizations up to the age of 25, who are to attend seminars, conferences, sport, cultural or educational events organized by non-profit organizations.

Photo Specifications

Photographs must follow the below guidelines
- no more than 6-months old
- 35–40mm in width
- close up of your head and top of your shoulders so that your face takes up 70–80% of the photograph
- in sharp focus and clear
- of high quality with no ink marks or creases
The photographs must:
- show you looking directly at the camera
- show your skin tones naturally
- have appropriate brightness and contrast
- be printed on high quality paper, and at high resolution
Photographs taken with a digital camera must be high quality colour and printed on photo-quality paper.

Processing Time
VISA ISSUANCE PROCEDURE AND TIMELINES
Standard visa processing time is up to 15 days from the receipt of the application at the Embassy (it could be shorter, depending on the documentation). However, in case the documents are not submitted as per requirement or due to other factors or justified reasons, the processing time may be extended to 30 or 45 days.
For citizens of Armenia, Azerbaijan, Cape Verde, Georgia, Moldova (holders of non-biometric passports), Ukraine and Russian Federation, visa processing time is up to 10 days. Visitors with the following documents:
- 2 or multiple-entry uniform visa (type C) valid in all Schengen area member states;
- A two- or multiple-entry visa with “limited territorial validity” (LTV visa) valid in the territory of a member state that recognizes one or more of the Schengen countries with a travel document that is not recognized by one or more of the Schengen countries;
- Long-term type D visa issued by a Schengen country for stays exceeding 3 months;
- a residence permit issued by a member state of the Schengen area;
No visa is required for transit to the Republic of Croatia or for stays not exceeding 90 days within 180 days.

Family members of an EU Member State citizen or EEC citizen holding a valid “Residence card of a family member of an EU Member State citizen” may travel to Croatia without a visa if they are traveling with or will join the EU Member State citizen or EEC citizen. If the family member of the EU Member State citizen or EEC citizen does not have this card, he/she needs to apply for a (free) Croatian visa.
A short-term visa (C visa) allows transit through the territory of the Republic of Croatia or a maximum stay of 90 days within 180 days. This visa is valid for single, double or multiple entry transit, tourist, business, private visit or other types of visa. The validity period of the visa depends on the visitor's stay in Croatia and does not exceed 5 years.
Foreign nationals may not work in Croatia with a short-term (C visa) visa.
There is no jurisdiction in the offices of the Consulate in Istanbul (Izmir, Bursa, Antalya and Altunizade).

IMPORTANT INFORMATION
The Government of the Republic of Croatia has started implementing Decision 565/2014/EU as of July 22, 2014. All persons holding a valid Schengen visa do not need a visa for Croatia.
Visitors with the following documents:
- 2 or multiple-entry uniform visa (type C) valid in all Schengen area member states;
- A two- or multiple-entry visa with “limited territorial validity” (LTV visa) valid in the territory of a member state that recognizes one or more of the Schengen countries with a travel document that is not recognized by one or more of the Schengen countries;
- Long-term type D visa issued by a Schengen country for stays exceeding 3 months;
- a residence permit issued by a member state of the Schengen area;
No visa is required for transit to the Republic of Croatia or for stays not exceeding 90 days within 180 days.

Information on persons holding a “Residence card of a family member of a European Union citizen”:
Family members of an EU Member State citizen or EEC citizen holding a valid “Residence card of a family member of an EU Member State citizen” may travel to Croatia without a visa if they are traveling with or will join the EU Member State citizen or EEC citizen. If the family member of the EU Member State citizen or EEC citizen does not have this card, he/she needs to apply for a (free) Croatian visa.
A short-term visa (C visa) allows transit through the territory of the Republic of Croatia or a maximum stay of 90 days within 180 days. This visa is valid for single, double or multiple entry transit, tourist, business, private visit or other types of visa. The validity period of the visa depends on the visitor's stay in Croatia and does not exceed 5 years.
Foreign nationals may not work in Croatia with a short-term (C visa) visa.
There is no jurisdiction in the offices of the Consulate in Istanbul (Izmir, Bursa, Antalya and Altunizade).

- close up of your head and top of your shoulders so that your face takes up 70–80% of the photograph
- in sharp focus and clear
- of high quality with no ink marks or creases

VISA ISSUANCE PROCEDURE AND TIMELINES
Standard visa processing time is up to 15 days from the receipt of the application at the Embassy (it could be shorter, depending on the documentation). However, in case the documents are not submitted as per requirement or due to other factors or justified reasons, the processing time may be extended to 30 or 45 days.
For citizens of Armenia, Azerbaijan, Cape Verde, Georgia, Moldova (holders of non-biometric passports), Ukraine and Russian Federation, visa processing time is up to 10 days. Overview
This type of visa is applicable for members of the immediate family (spouse/children) of a citizen of Croatia/EU/EEA/SWITZERLAND
Citizens of Turkey who plan to visit Croatia are required to have a visa. If you reside in Turkey please check whether you require a visa for Croatia: https://mvep.gov.hr/en/consular-information/visas/visa-requirements-overview/.
Third-country nationals who require a visa for Croatia can fill out the visa application form on-line at crovisa.mvep.hr (available in English, Russian, Ukrainian, Albanian, and Turkish language). Printed and filled out application form, along with other required documents, should be submitted to the competent Croatian Embassy/Consulate or visa centre.
A short-stay visa (C-visa) allows the visitor to transit through, or stay in the territory of the Republic of Croatia for a maximum of 90 days in any period 180 day-period. It is issued for one, two, or multiple entries for the purpose of transit, tourism, business, private or other purposes. Its validity period depends on the circumstances of the visitor’s travel to Croatia and may not exceed five years.
The visa shall not entitle a visitor to enter the Republic of Croatia.
A foreigner cannot work in Croatia on the basis of a short-term visa.

Visa Fees
The family member of the Croatian, EU/EEA and Swiss citizen does not need to pay the visa application fee in cases when family members of the EEA/Swiss citizens travel with or are joining a family member who is an EEA/Swiss citizen. For all other travel purposes, i.e. when they are not travelling with or joining a family member who is an EEA/Swiss citizen, short-term visa application procedure is standard, and a C visa fee of 90 EUR is charged.

Long Term Visa (D - Visa)

Overview
If you wish to stay in Croatia longer than 90 days for the purposes mentioned in the list below, you must apply for a D Visa.
Visa type D substituted the procedure of short-term (type C) visa applications of third-country nationals who have been granted temporary stay or issued stay and work permit by the competent Police Directorate/Police Administration.
The long-term visa is an approval to stay in the territory of the Republic of Croatia up to 30 days if a third-country national has been granted temporary stay for:
- family reunification,
- secondary school education,
- university studies,
- research,
- humanitarian grounds,
- life partnership,
- work;
- work of a posted worker;
- stay of long-term residents in another EEA Member State,
- stay of digital nomads,
- other purposes
When applicants fill out the information on the Crovisa site, Art. 57 of the Aliens Act" (čl. 57. ZOS), when the category is selected as "long", it can automatically take the long-term form instead of Schengen. The date of obtaining residence and work permits in D-type visa type applications must not be older than three months.
In addition, all documents, including long-term, must be scanned and uploaded to the system.

Fees are due on the visa application when applying.

When applicants fill out the information on the Crovisa site, Art. 57 of the Aliens Act" (čl. 57. ZOS), when the category is selected as "long", it can automatically take the long-term form instead of Schengen. The date of obtaining residence and work permits in D-type visa type applications must not be older than three months.
In addition, all documents, including long-term, must be scanned and uploaded to the system.

Photo Specifications

Photographs must follow the below guidelines
- no more than 6-months old
- 35–40mm in width
- close up of your head and top of your shoulders so that your face takes up 70–80% of the photograph
- in sharp focus and clear
- of high quality with no ink marks or creases
The photographs must:
- show you looking directly at the camera
- show your skin tones naturally
- have appropriate brightness and contrast
- be printed on high quality paper, and at high resolution
Photographs taken with a digital camera must be high quality colour and printed on photo-quality paper.

Processing Time
VISA ISSUANCE PROCEDURE AND TIMELINES
Standard visa processing time is up to 15 days from the receipt of the application at the Embassy (it could be shorter, depending on the documentation). However, in case the documents are not submitted as per requirement or due to other factors or justified reasons, the processing time may be extended to 30 or 45 days.
For citizens of Armenia, Azerbaijan, Cape Verde, Georgia, Moldova (holders of non-biometric passports), Ukraine and Russian Federation, visa processing time is up to 10 days. - Applicants must fill out the visa application form in Latin alphabet, with capital letters and sign it personally. A visa application for a minor or person deprived of their business capacity must be submitted by their legal representative, who must sign the form.
Important Notice
Applicants who wish to apply for a visa to Croatia are mandatory to use the Online Visa Application Form available at https://crovisa.mvep.hr/?lang=en for Ankara and Gaziantep, but strongly advised to use the Online Visa Application form for İstanbul,İzmir,Antalya and Bursa.The Online Form is available in Croatian, English, Albanian, Turkish, Russian and Ukrainian languages.You need to upload photo while filling out the online form.
