Overview

A Schengen short stay visa entitles the holder to visit the Schengen countries for Tourism, or other non-business related purposes up to 90 days within a 180 day period from date of first entry. The stay me be either continuous or several visits depending upon whether the visa is single or multiple entry.

Applicants who have a Schengen visa in the past on any passport must apply in the category “Tourism – Holding previous Schengen visa”. Applicants who have never held a Schengen Visa and are applying for the first time, must apply under the category “Tourism – first issuance”.

Important: Please note that if the applicant is in possession of an invitation from an EU/NON EU National, they must apply under “Tourism – EU citizen relatives” OR “Tourism - Visiting Family and Friends (Non EU Citizen)”.

Important: Please note that for Short Term Visa Applications the passport submitted should be at least 6 months valid from the date of travel.

Your visa application must be submitted in the country where you have continuously lived for the last 6 months, and you will need to provide proof of this residence when you apply. Please note that we cannot process visa applications from visitors to India, even if you are an Indian national. If you are visiting India and plan to travel to Italy, you must apply for your Schengen visa in your home country before your trip to India.

Your passport must be valid for at least 3 months beyond your intended visa duration and must have been issued within the last 10 years.

Overview

This visa allows business people to make a short business visit to Schengen during your visa validity period. Business activities may include a conference, negotiation or exploratory business visit up to 90 days within a 180 day period from date of first entry. The stay may be either continuous or several visits depending upon whether the visa is single or multiple entry.

Applicants shall apply in the category “Business – Holding previous Schengen visa” if they have already travelled in the Schengen area with a valid visa, whether those who have never travelled in the Schengen area shall apply under the category “Business – first issuance”.

Your visa application must be submitted in the country where you have continuously lived for the last 6 months, and you will need to provide proof of this residence when you apply. Visa Fees

• The Visa Fee and VFS Service charges are applicable per application.

Visa Fee for Research C is gratis.

• The Demand Draft for visa fee must be favoring 'VFS GLOBAL SERVICES PRIVATE LIMITED' and payable at city wherein you lodge your application. One Banking Instrument will be accepted per applicant. Alternatively, applicants applying at VFS Delhi, Chandigarh and Jalandhar have the option to pay visa fees in cash.

  In addition to the Visa Fees, applicant is required to pay the VFS Service Charge (inclusive of all taxes), of INR 631. To add value to our customer, we offer some optional value added services. You will need to pay an extra fee in addition to the visa application fee when you avail these value added services, which are inclusive of Goods & Service Tax. • Courier Facility available at INR 795/- per application.

Overview

This visa provides for the temporary stay of persons who will be full-time religious workers in Schengen. Religious work is work of a religious nature for which the applicant has had relevant religious training. The religious work proposed must directly serve an organization’s religious objectives. It would usually be religious work involved in:

• providing spiritual leadership
• conducting worship
• teaching or guidance in religion
• ministering, pastoral care or proselytizing
• other high level specialist work in relation to the above

Overview

Family reunion visas are visas intended to reunite family members specifically husbands/wives, children and parents economically dependent on the sponsors. It is a long term (type D) period visa. The Family reunion visas must be authorized through the specified authorization ("NULLA OSTA") issued by the competent Italian Authorization in which are listed the family members who may apply for the visa.

HOW TO SUBMIT A VISA APPLICATION (Family Reunion)

Visa for family members of EU/Italian National

Family members of Italian/EU citizens are eligible for a streamlined process for submitting visa applications directly through VFS Global.

Under Directive 2004/38/EC, the following are considered family members:

• Spouse

The partner who has a registered marriage with a citizen of the European Union under the legislation of a Member State (provided that the legislation of the hosting Member State considers the registered marriage equivalent to marriage)

• Direct descendants under the age of 21 or dependent descendants

This visa option is for students who wish to undergo Internship in Italy.
